Hare Hatch Sheeplands - the fight goes on!

2016-11-08 08:11:46
Good news for all of you who signed the second petition supporting Hare Hatch Sheeplands. It has caused Wokingham Borough Council to hold a public debate.

See below for some information issued by Sheeplands. You are encouraged to go along to Shute End on November 17 and show your support for them.

You don't have to speak. Just by being there you will demonstrate to the council the depth of feeling in favour of Sheeplands.

One of the most important events in the long running planning dispute between Wokingham Borough Council and Hare Hatch Sheeplands takes place on Thursday, November 17.

That’s when councillors debate a petition urging them to do everything in their power to support the Twyford garden centre and save it from closing down.

The vital meeting takes place at the council’s Shute End offices in Wokingham, starting at 7.30 pm.

Sheeplands owner Rob Scott said this week “This is a valuable opportunity for our supporters to demonstrate the depth of feeling in our favour".

“Thousands have signed petitions backing us and I urge them to turn up in force at the debate and make their views known".

“There will be an opportunity for some people to ask questions, although the council has set a time limit on this. But just by being there our loyal customers can show their support.”
