Voting is tomorrow morning: The strongest evidence that some statements from FISA ARE WRONG

2017-02-10 19:32:51
FISA, claims that the IOC does not want weight classes in sports activities that are not martial arts.

IOC is being used as leverage for others wishes regarding choice of Olympic disciplines etc. These signs are destructive for lightweight rowing - the largest International and Olympic rowing success.

The strongest evidence for this and several other statements from FISA ARE WRONG, this letter (http://olympicrowing.org/IOC_letter_20161016.pdf) is written to ISAF, the Internatonal Sailing Federation about their choice of disciplines for the Olympic program.

IOC cannot and will not dictate disciplines in the respective sports federations.

The decision is to be made in Tokyo tomorrow where all national rowing federations are gathered to vote for the Olympic program.

We do what we can to have the vote turn out in favor of our proposal, since it is the only way our sport will maintain gender balance while preserving universality and spectator attractiveness.

Yes! We have passed 7.000 signatures. This is great folks! We have one month to go, before we hand in the signatures to the FISA board in Japan. Can we get 800 signatures more? Yes we can, if you keep sharing - especially in South America, Africa, Arab countries and Asia. Go for it!
