Academic excellence can be achieved If everyone plays their part. Students of EPH105C EPH105C kindly request a new lecturer to be assigned to this module

It is of great importance that a new engineering physical science lecturer be assigned for the year module EPH105C , reasons being that the students are not satisfied with outcomes they get from the lectures. Majority of the students are failing this module due to the following:

1) The lecturer says he will get back to students regarding questions students have but fails to do so.

2) The lecturer fails to give sufficient examples to properly convey the contents of module.

3) The lecturer simply reads the slides without getting into detail.

4) The lecturer does not reply to the students emails about problems they encounter while reading through the content.

5) The lecture does not make use of the whiteboard during online classes which makes it difficult for the students to engage with the lecturer, which results in misunderstanding and lost students.

6) The lecturer does not consider request that students making in order to understand the lecturer better.

7) The lecturer seldomly hold revision classes after we write a test or an assessment so that the students can take note of their mistakes and find a solution to the mistakes, instead the lecturer will post the memo on brightspace, without explanations.

As students who are currently undertaking this module understand that we need to obtain a mark percentage of 60 in order fo pass and we are worried that our current marks do not seem to be sufficient enough to get us that 60% by the end of the year ,therefore we would appreciate it if the SRC together with the department of engineering and the built environment could help us solve this problem by assigning a new lecturer for EPH 105C
