Say "No" to standardized exams and computer-based assessments in our school district for the year.

Sign this petition to support young people in our district by REJECTING district-wide standardized exams and computer-based assessments for this year.   What do our young people need most right now?  If you are an educator who brings social-emotional support to your students in any meaningful way, you must empathize with young people at this time of social-distancing and rising issues for families in urban districts.  Currently, the Vallejo City Unified School District offers lip-service to soci

#OdentonNeedsAPark

19 October 2020   The Honorable Steuart Pittman Arundel Center 44 Calvert Street Annapolis, MD 21401   RE: #OdentonNeedsApark     Dear County Executive Pittman, I am writing to you in support of the Odenton Library Park.  Most of the land in Odenton is privately owned and landowners have little to no incentive to partner to create sufficient green space and establish parks and other non-revenue generating locations. When the County has an opportunity to create a park, it must seize that opportun

Support Airbnb in Mobile, AL

Being an Airbnb host is a work of love. For those of you who have tried it, I'm sure you'll agree you  turned into a Tour Guide, Housekeeper, and City-of-Mobile Ambassador overnight!   It has afforded me time at home with my kids, and my parents to pay their bills after retiring. Many others have lost their jobs during the Pandemic and are using Airbnb to make ends meet.  Mobilians have poured their blood, sweat, tears, and savings into renovating dilapidated homes in the downtown & midtown

Re-Open our City Parks

We, the citizens of Del Rio, are asking our City Council to remove the restrictions they have imposed on our city parks. The citizens of Del Rio pay taxes for the creation and maintenance of the very parks they are prohibiting citizens from using. Slowly they are shutting everything down, while the state of Texas reopens. The State of Texas has already implemented plans to reopen the state. This includes the opening of theme parks, stadiums, water parks, etc. The City also seems very biased and
