Save Track Fitness Boxing Club

Track fitness boxing club is an integral part of the community, providing a service to Beverley and the wider community.  We have over 400 members, between the ages of 4 and 60. On the 5th September 2019 East riding council served us with an eviction notice, giving us 6 weeks to vacate the premises offering us no support in finding a new building.  Please support the future of the club and make the council find us a suitable property.

Reduce the 12 month minimum between two votes of no confidence in Tory leader to 3 months

Members are extremely frustrated with Mrs May's dissociation with conservative principles, and her willingness to involve the opposition, a party we have campaigned against to allow the Conservative Party to form a Government, in the Brexit talks. However, MPs can no longer call a vote of no confidence in her, despite many Tory activists leaving due to her actions, because they have already triggered such a vote and lost. We believe the 12 months rule is extremely harsh and undemocratic, as a lo

Change back graduation to Sept 2020 not Feb 2021!

So as you may have heard our graduation has been moved to February 2021 rather than September 2020! This is due to the Mayflower 400 celebrations going on on the Hoe in late July. Our graduation is not going to be on the hoe even with the change of date but in the Guildhall (lovely grey building by the courts in town).  One of the many reasons people chose Plymouth to study is for the Iconic landmarks we have and where we get to graduate...as advertised in the prospectus this takes place in the

Huntingdonshire District Council Parking Fees

HDC have recently ‘upgraded’ their Pay & Display machines across the region and whilst undertaking this, have removed the 1 hour option from long stay carparks. The minimum option to pay for is 2 hours so hence they have doubled the minimum fee. This will have devastating consequences to town centres and cause irresponsible parking as people look to avoid designated car parks and these fees. We, the undersigned, ask that this decision is reversed and the 1 hour option is re-instated.

Help to save The Doodle Caboodle Cafe & Play in Tring.

To cut a long story short, a 'Change of Use' was recently submitted to Dacorum Borough Council. After being open for over 2 years without any issues, we were lead to believe that this was just a formality however, the process could now get complicated following a recommendation for refusal by Councillors at Tring Town Council. The exact words were: "The Council recommended refusal of this applicationon the grounds that there was inadequate parking facilities on site for a café. Whilst the Counci

Save Esher's Greenbelt - Say No to development on Sandown Park

The Jockey Club proposes to build 310 flats (in blocks 4-6 storeys high) and a 150 bed hotel around the race course. The whole of Sandown Park is in the Green Belt, and we do not believe this development should be allowed.   We are a group of neighbours launching a campaign to fight the proposals and raise awareness.  We know the Council is under pressure to find more sites for houses.  However, it remains the case there is a presumption AGAINST new development on Green Belt land unless it can b

THE 50 MPH SPEED LIMIT THROUGH THIS AREA IS CONSTANTLY IGNORED BY CARS AND MORE DANGEROUSLY HUGE LORRIES. WEST SUSSEX COUNCIL RECENTLY MADE MODIFICATION

We want a new pharmacy for South Queensferry

My wife and I applied for an NHS contract to dispense prescriptions in the new pharmacy we are planning to open in South Queensferry to serve the town’s rapidly growing population. The local consultation revealed a high level of dissatisfaction with the two existing pharmacies which are clearly buckling under the strain of this growing demand. But, incredibly, the application was rejected,  leaving the local monopoly intact; safe from competition no matter how badly they perform or how many comp

Stop plans to build homes on Green Belt at Lye Green Nr Chesham

Chiltern District & South Bucks District Councils are jointly preparing a Local Plan until 2036.  Part of the proposal is to expand the town of Chesham by building new homes of which 900 are proposed to be built on agricultural land currently designated as Green Belt on the NE of Chesham at a hamlet called Lye Green. The Lye Green community fears these plans, if adopted, will (amongst many other things) result in: Significant damage to the openness and visual appearance of the area, which is
