Financial Support for Temporary Visa Holders in Australia - COVID 19

Due to the covid-19 pandemic a lot of temporary visa holders in Australia (visitor visas, student visas, 482 visa holders, working holiday visas), have been left unemployed and stranded in Australia. So far, The Australian Government has done nothing to support temporary visa holders in Australia. It has not provided a clear indication of what, if any financial support will be provided. Temporary visa holders need help and we request the Australian Government provide a clear answer to them.   We

Plea from locals to make Cromer safe for pedestrians & residents!!

Please sign to support us in informing the Northern Beaches Council what a serious issue the lack of pedestrian saftey is in Cromer.   The area in South Creek Rd & Fisher Rd North Cromer has been a dangerous area for pedestrians & motorists for many years. With new developments continually being approved, the area is bustling with people, and yet no additional safety or traffic controls have ever been implemented as part of the redevelopments. Over the years, local businesses and parents

462/417 working holiday visa type request frozen expiry date due to COVID-19

We sincerely request to frozen 462/417 working holiday visa expiry date because we are unable to depart the border in time due to less flights while change to other visa type (limited visa type can be apply) cost a lot especially when a majority of Australians lost their jobs. Currently there's no vaccine for COVID-19 and many working holiday visa holders get stuck in Australia. We want to obey restriction rules from what Prime Minister Mr.Morrison announced which is to stay at home and self-qua

We are against re-exam English B !

Dear Taylors, First of all, our students oppose the re-examination of English B, because it is not easy for a student to cope with each exam that we spend the spirit and time of the exam. It is not that the school unilaterally decided that we need to retake the exam, and it was only notified three days ago. This will bring great stress to students. Secondly, it can not be sure that the problem of the IRIS will not happen again in the next time. Do we have to keep re-examination? This is not a ma

Put the SWEK District in LOCKDOWN

Please keep the SWEK district free of Corona-19. If it reaches the Kimberley's it will have catastrophic effects with many deaths.  I implore the local government to take decisive action NOW. Petition to the City of Nedlands to take action to ensure that Point Resolution Childcare Centre continues to be run by the City of Nedlands

This petition is to urge the City of Nedlands to continue the provision of childcare services at PRCC to the ratepayers and residents of Nedlands and surrounds. Over 50 families will be subject to undue hardship if the centre is to close without adequate services otherwise available in the vicinity. We urge our local leaders to act now to ensure the City of Nedlands continues to provide this essential service to the ratepayers, residents and broader community.

STOP THE PROPOSED 4/5 STOREY COMMERCIAL DEVELOPMENT ON BETTY ST AND DOONAN RD NEDLANDS

The Nedlands Council and Oryx are proposing a 4/5 storey high end aged care facility to accommodate 90 beds over 4 residential blocks of land. This FOR PROFIT PRIVATLY OWNED AND OPERATED ENTERPRISE will sit behind Melvista Lodge which interestingly the council recently had the heritage zoning removed from!  This inappropriate and out of context development will bring in excess of 40 staff a day into the area along with daily deliveries hurtling down Melvista Ave, Princess Road, Vincent St, and s

Save Glenbervie bike jump track

We are trying to save Glenbervie jumps from being demolished by Moonee Valley Council. The bike track & jumps were proudly built by the youth of the area, who carefully planned out their jumps whilst working within & considering the nature around them. The jump track has provided a place for the local kids to get fresh air, exercise, connect with nature, & provides an outlet for their mental health & wellbeing, which has been absolutely vital now more than ever. In this time of C
