Cut the grass and remove the vagrants in the green belt - Wolwe and Waterkloof Spruit Tshwane

Cut_the_spruit_areas1.jpgWe, the residents, ask the City of Tshwane to take immediate action and cut the grass/growth along the Wolwe and Waterkloof spruits that run through Newlands west of the N1, Ashlea Gardens and Maroelana.

In addition we ask that TMPD, SAPS and Home Affairs take action to remove the vagrants living on the Wolwe and Waterkloof spruit, remove illegal immigrants and clean up the spruit areas, thereby ensuring the safety of pedestrians and residents.

The long grass allows vagrants and thieves to hide in the spruit area. Crime is escalating out of control in these suburbs. The grass in the spruit areas and along the roads is excessively long and is creating a dangerous hiding place as well as dangerous road conditions for vehicles as visibility is severely impaired at intersections.

The spruit areas and streets affected and  needing cutting are:
Wild Avenue,
Tugela Road,
Umgazi Road,
Hazelwood Road, General Kock Street, Pinaster Street,
Cecilia Street,
Selati Street and Maroelana Street.

The spruit areas are bordered by these streets as well.

We implore you to ensure our safety, ensure the protection of our environment and to ensure the road safety in these areas and on these roads.
