Dog Dragged to Death

On Friday April 20, a dog was tied to the back of a car and dragged to death on the Gyeongbuk expressway in Seoul, South Korea. A police investigation is underway to find the person(s) responsible for this malicious crime. Eyewitnesses have provided video footage and the license plate number to Coexistence of Animal Rights on Earth (CARE) (www.fromcare.org). CARE has handed this evidence to the Seocho police station, filed an official police report, and is doing everything possible to support the investigation. CARE will be fighting for the maximum penalty under law (10,000,000 KRW or one year of jail time under the new animal protection law act).
Also, CARE is strongly lobbying officials to initiate a "blacklist", which would forbid abusive owners from owning pets in the future.To contact CARE:

  • The person(s) responsible receive maximum punishment for this terrible crime.  (KRW10,000,000 or one year jail time)
  • We will not tolerate anything but a full length investigation to find the person(s) responsible for this crime.
  • Future crimes against animals will not be dealt with lightly.
  • People who abuse animals should never be allowed to own another pet.
