Duck signs/crossing

We the residents of haxby and wigginton petition York City Council to put more effective signs in our villages warning traffic about aquatic wildlife crossing the roads, we also petition for a proper Duck crossing to be put on the road in between the two ponds, our villages have had ducks and geese wandering around for many years and there have been several injuries and fatalities due to speeding traffic and inconsiderate drivers. We would like to see these measures put in place to preserve our wildlife so they can continue to roam around freely and safely. If funding can not be provided by York City council we would ask our local councils if they can provide any funding or potentially hold a fundraiser.
