Because I travel a lot and I want the convenience of cork airport to remain with as many flights connections in UK and Europe. It doesn't make sense that an airport with such a large hinterland is in trouble......bad management or what??

Because I want to be able to fly out of Cork and not have to travel to Dublin.

I sign this petition because Cork airport is vital for this area we have many businesses here in Cork such as EMC. Apple, and many more and without that airport conection to this area think of the jobs that would be lost. . The bosses that own these companies like to jump on a plane and be at they destination in one in a day so just think if they let Cork airport go so to would the businesses TDs and Endda Kenny Need to wake up to see this situation and soon!!!! iris

I come from Cork and feel strongly that Cork airport should remain, and provide a variety of routes so people in the region don't have added expenses by having to travel from other airports in Ireland. Big loss of Cork jobs if the airport becomes stagnant.

Cork airport provides a good service for Munster and is easy to get to

Because we NEED an airport in Cork. It's absolutely essential to the area and the financial loss to the area would be dramatic. I also would hate to have to drive to Dublin just to fly to UK? Dublin is further and the airport itself more stressful than the experience of departing from Cork

I'm  from Cork but currently live in the UK for work.  I would love to get home at least once every one or 2 months but the service in to Cork  from the Midlands is awful and very over priced. Cork airport has the potential to serve so many people in the south of Ireland and those abroad.  Something needs to be done! !

A few years ago we could fly to Rome year round. Now we have to go to Dublin, either the night before or take a late flight and arrive in late. When we could fly from cork the flights were usually full!

Because Cork not only needs Cork airport as it is, it also needs it to grow bigger, open new routes and encourage businesses to locate here because of our infrastructure. The daa don't care one iota about cork and do nothing to assist our airport

Because firstly it's a disgrace to find cork airport in this position ! Secondly I work for an international company who have recently decided to enter directly into the Irish Market and set up operations in Cork. Having an airport close by was one of the key contributing factors to the final decision to proceed. We are a great city but without an airport we are nothing !

This airport has to remain and the alternative is unthinkable for so many on both sides of the water.

Cork Airport is a lifeline to the Southern end of Ireland.
We sorely miss the Swansea-Cork ferry, if the airport goes too then travel becomes a long slog wherever you are going. Not to mention the extra cost of travelling. The number of people visiting us on a personal basis has dropped since the ferry stopped, if the Airport is closed some of our friends/family will simply not be able to afford to come and see us. We can drive to Cork Airport to pick them up, Doing this to Dublin/Shannon is not feasible when you run a farm. PLEASE don't take away our lifeline to the world.

#25: - Cork needs more flights and flights to and from Italy

This is exactly what they want to happen. Lisbon, Nice and Brussels are not tourist destinations, they're Metropolitan cities that are hubs of business and government. The Irish government wants everyone to rely on Dublin for everything.

With the vast sums being spent on promoting the excellent Wild Atlantic Way it seems to be nonsensical to lose this excellent access point to it.

I'm
From cork and hate to travel to Dublin or Shannon to go on holidays . It's a fantastic airport full of potential but I really think if Ryanair took over the old part of airport bring in way more business .

There is a desperate need for business & leisure flight provision from the south of Ireland Dublin is not the only City with a successful business provision I'm Ireland the south of the country is very badly served.

I fly into Cork airport several times each year from Manchester in the UK to stay with close friends. We then have to drive for over an hour to get to their house. Without the airport this journey would be so much more difficult. And I love the airport anyway:)
