I've known this business since it's very beginning by two young hard-working family men, one of whom is still there. They are struggling to maintain a viable business that is serving the community well.

I've loved this garden centre since the day I first stepped foot in it. Sure, things can be improved, but on the whole it brings so many quality products and services to the area that you cannot find elsewhere as well as another great place to spend a bit of time with the kids. I regularly buy from their farm shop- the meat is incomparable to anything you can get from the supermarkets, and they sell specialty goods you also won't find elsewhere. I buy my cat's dry food from the pet shop across the car park, and often buy gifts from the children's toy section inside. It is all fantastic quality and at reasonable prices. I don't understand why the Council would want this place shut down. Surely they can come to some sort of resolution?

Hare hatch sheeplands is a unique and much loved part part of the community and the council must listen to reason if it wants to be seen as a fair council

what's the difference between home grown and bought in plants? except bought in employs more people. and why can big company's do certain thing's and smaller one's get order's shoved upon them?

We want to support independent local businesses, not make life so impossible for them that only the giant chains survive ( and then dictate prices as they choose.) Please WBC, take the broader view. Hare Hatch provides jobs, an excellent service, fun for children and adults (particularly at Christmas)and has improved the area.

To refuse Hair Hatch permission to use land which has already had glass houses built on it suggests to me that pressure may be being put on the planning department possibly by a nearby garden centre.

Hare Hatch, Sheeplands farm has been part of my life for a long time. being able to buy local produce from a local family business is very important. I would like to see more small family businesses run in this way, it should also be a reasonable business procedure to be able to buy in products, what is 'unlawful' in that?

This business has provided employment and enjoyment for very many people. It would be a tragic loss to the community as a whole. Wokingham councillors should be ashamed of their actions.
Small businesses should be encouraged not hounded.

The varied retail outlets at Hare Hatch provide both competitive and alternatives offerings to the multinational garden centres close by. This is of great benefit to the surrounding communities and the Council should recognise this and work with the owners to find a mutually satisfactory solution to the planning discrepancies. Common sense must prevail. It also provides employment for around 100 people who would suffer greatly should punitive action be taken by the Council.
