My children didn't need to be lectured about the new school with biased & negative views! "For those slotted to attend Ellison, it may seem easier just to let things happen and go to a brand new facility to start "fresh." Realize that based on experienced educators, it takes 2-3 years to get a school off the ground with all of its ancillary programs. It takes time for teachers and administration to establish a rhythm. It takes time and money to build a library from the ground up. Although we all desire for Ellison to be outstanding, it will not immediately have the depth of experience, maturity, and established programs that our children enjoy at LSE on a daily basis. Additionally, Ellison is projected to be a much larger school; this contrasts with the smaller, more close-knit sense of family at LSE where teachers and staff know students outside of their classroom on a first name basis, and vice-versa.
