Golden Arrow Bus availibility

The past few years we have seen an increase in security complexes and housing development along Old Nooiensfontein Road, also known as Roterdam Road.  On this stretch of road lies quite a few residential areas namely: Wembly Park; Camelot; Avalon Park; Sunbird Park; Hagley; Highgate; Silversands and then there is the security complexes - Bardale Village Phase 1; Bardale Village Phase 2; Bardale Village Phase 3 / Sagewood; and the newly build Oxford Village. Residents have also been notified of the development plans for Bardale Village Phase 4, 5, 6 & 7 plus a Phase 8 which will consist of 2 primary schools and one high school. 

During weekday morning peak Golden Arrow only offers 4 busses which transferes passengers along this route to City / CBD. Busses are late, overcrowded and traffic is a nightmare. Sitting and even standing in an overcrowded bus is frustrating.

Clearly the City of Cape Town have approved all these housing developments but nothing is being done about the road infrastructure or proper public trasnport for residents. There is a great need and demand for more busses on our route. This will make communting easier to the residents of this area and the residents of the surrounding areas i.e Blackheath, Summerville, Hindle Park, Fairdale, Fountain Village and Blue Downs.

Sign this petition in agreement that we need more busses and in an efficient and timely manner which will get us to our schools and workplaces safe and on time.
