Petition to have the title removed from "Sir" Charles Edward Trevelyan

This is a petition to appeal to the people of Britain for the removal of the title "Sir" from Charles Edward Trevelyan, the man who orchestrated the systematic export of food from Ireland during the mid to late 1840's, which left the poorer class of native Irish people who were forcibly dependent on potatoe crops as a soul source of food and nutrition, as over 90% of agricultural land in Ireland at the time was owned by the minority British class, and absentee british landowners. The NI Taxi industry deserves better support

The Stormont Executive via Nichola Mallon has offered the taxi £1500 per driver to help with the extra costs of Covid and the lose of income. This is less than £10 per day to pay bills & buy food as many driver's haven't worked due to shielding and have fallen through the different grants schemes.  We're calling on the NI Assembly to provide drivers with better support and we'd ask you to sign our petition to show you're behind us.

Stopping traffic through Moyclare & Parkvale from St. Neasains School

This petition is being set up to put an end to parents driving into our estates to drop off & collect kids from St. Neasains school. These estates are only one way in and out and the amount of cars that come through here to the school has gotten very bad with lines of cars trying to get in and out of the estate. This causes problems for the residents, if we are trying to leave our estate at these school drop off & collection times we are faced with all these parents driving right up to t

We want real pockets in girly and women's clothes! Not those fake ones!

I am Weronika and I'm four years old. And a half. I want to write to all those people who make clothes. So that they know, that we want kids and adults, who are girls, to have real pockets. So that girls could put their hands in them, and other things, like food (food is important!), toys, the small ones, when they go to a playground because they might need them, and also small plushies. When you have big pockets, you can even put a plushie in them, when you want to take it somewhere. For examp

STORMONT! END the violation of our Human rights NOW! Face masks should NEVER BE MANDATORY!!!

The signatories on this petition are calling for an end to the dictatorship of the Stormont executive and public health officials who are infringing our inalienable human rights as set out in the Human rights act 1998. The Northern Ireland Act 1998 sets out the legislative competence of the Northern Ireland Assembly and states that the Assembly may not legislate in a manner that conflicts with the European convention on Human rights. The Act places a DUTY on public bodies not to act in contraven

International support for non-governmental organizations at No. 6 Metelkova Street in Ljubljana, Slovenia

Non-governmental organizations in Slovenia are increasingly targeted by the government's restrictive measures and hostile rhetoric. Leading the government, the radical right Slovenian Democratic Party and PM Janez Janša direct their hostility especially towards NGOs engaged in independent cultural production and defending human rights, media freedom and the environment. Legal and financial restrictions have been applied to them and the epidemic is used to justify such measures. The media, the ju

In Support of Academic Freedom of Expression and Critical Thought

We believe in upholding the democratic values of freedom of speech, thought, and expression. We view Academic freedom of expression in universities as paramount to the process of higher education and empirically-grounded research. The suppression of opposing views stifles critical thought and debate, which are incredibly important parts of a university education and should be promoted and encouraged in both students and staff. We strongly oppose the idea that Academic Freedom should only apply

Carers Allowance should not be meanstested

Carer Allowance should become a standard payment. A standard payment of carers should not be means tested.  The economic situation right now, means our government will have to balance the books a bit better,  Under section 302b of the Social Welfare (Consolidation) Act 2005, it has been decided that I no longer am worth anything. They decided that I can do a job 24/7 but will get nothing for it, even though I am saving the State a Fortune. Even though I would do anything and everything for My da
