I/We believe ramping up international flights to Australia at this time is not safe for those like myself who reside here.

Why does the  Federal Government want to ramp up international flights into Australia so urgently, when there is an efficent and smart, and little known varient  of the Covid-19 virus being introduced into Australia from people returning here. There were opportunities to repatriate Australians during 2020 by possibly negotiating and contracting to fly them home at reduced rcosts to them, keeping staff emplyed and keeping QANTAS flying. Also during this time we believe safer alternatives to CBD Hotel Quarantine could have been investigated and prepared.

To increase flights now is an unhealthy decsion for all of us who live in Australia. This includes those manysmall businesses that struggle during and after lockdowns. We are tired of the political "blame Game". We want to be considered in decisions that affect us.

Our request to you Mr Morrison and Mr Hunt is to suspend flights until frontline workers have been vaccinated and have developed anitibodies to the virus which can take a number of weeks. At the very least, you restrict flights and use Howard Springs as the only safe quarantine option at this time.
