Keep Michael Britten AWAKE !

Originality is, for the most part, an ideal to which writers, filmmakers, painters, sculptors, musicians, and plenty of artists aspire, it is both a goal, and a reward in itself.

In creative work, in art and beauty, it is the special, unique quality of a product, of a creation, that has offered something never before seen by anyone else, never before witnessed, nor presented in the way it does so in the moment it is beholden by the eyes of fellow human beings.

It is a true delight then, to be able to witness the birth, and the growth of a bright, new, and original idea.

Such is the case with the television show, Awake.

Awake is a story about grief and tragedy, about hope and determination, about a man's struggle to find meaning in his undying love for both his wife and son, both dead, and yet alive at the same time, pressumably, in different realities, or dimentions, or maybe even in the land of twilight and dreams ! Awake is a story about the meaning of love, trascending the barriers of time and space, defying sanity and objectivity, existance and conscience, life and death, in a way that only a loving father, and husband, this one named Michael Britten, could ever do.

Considering all of the above, we hereby make the following petition to NBC to continue to produce and air more episodes of the show AWAKE, created by Kyle Killen and starring Jason Isaacs, Laura Allen, Dylan Minnette, Steve Harris, Wilder Valderrama, Cherry Jones and BD Wong.

We consider this petition as legitimate, in the sense that with an already strong following, and that given enough time, Awake could become a jewel of modern television. Thus, with determination, and the respect the working men at NBC deserve, we the followers, ask that Awake may continue further than it's first season.

Sincerely yours,

"The Awakers"
