We, the communities around and supporting Melville Superspar, have had enough of the owners, management and franchisors' lack of interest and plain disregard of issues raised regarding the store and its contents.

You have constantly ignored and avoided addressing numerous complaints regarding the quality of the store's fresh produce, incorrect pricing, health and safety as well as hygiene concerns.

We commend your staff with their friendly and positive attitudes towards customers, however when management and senior staff are approached about these issues, their attitude leaves one with nothing but disdain.

On several occasions, meat products have been found to be contaminated with magotts.

Fresh fruit and vegetables have been found to be mouldy as well as seriously below acceptable quality.

Expired foodstuffs have not been removed from shelves.

Prices scanned at check out were not reflective of the price indicated in locally or nationally applicable advertisements. When such advertisements indicating promotions were produced to validate claims, they were dismissed as not applicable to the store. 

Baskets and trolleys are often not clean.

Multiple large delivery vehicles obstruct the road outside and cause blind and dangerous overtaking.

We need you to listen and act positively. Involve the community with decisions. Talk to us and respond when we raise concerns in a healthy and respectable manner. Be aware of our safety and care for us like we care for our families.

Remember, you need us more than we need you.
