2. Regulating long-term leases to foreigners, ensuring such agreements serve national interests without undermining Gambian control over land.

3. Protecting indigenous and communal lands from exploitation and unfair acquisition.

4. Implementing transparent land policies to prevent corruption and ensure fair access to land for all Gambians.

By taking this action, the National Assembly will safeguard The Gambia's sovereignty, prevent future land crises, and secure land for generations to come.
