Pro Medical Choices....Vaccine Choice

<span;>I am writing to you regarding vaccine mandates in healthcare, especially our critical mental health field. I would first like to clarify that I am not against vaccines entirely nor am I pro-vaccine. (I refuse to use the derogatory term anti-vaxxer; I would love the opportunity to have a conversation explaining why; maybe in one of the positive language topics.)

<span;>In a world increasingly divided by the belief to make generalizations about the general public or another person without having an understanding of their personal situation. What is right for you, could be much worse for someone else.  Instead, we should be sensitive to the fact that what's

<span;>I would like to bring to light some very important information that I truly believe NEEDS to be considered before executing NY's mandates for employees. I firmly believe the actions you may take are motivated to keep the public healthy.  What you may not have considered is the large majority of the population who face long term and life threatening side effects from the vaccine. There are also those women, relatives like myself who have lost infants HOURS after a wellness visit. There are many people who have trauma associated with the vaccine and as mental health workers, I find it strange to dismiss someone's trauma regarding this especially when there's legitimate documentation to back it up.

<span;>For so many people COVID 19 will be deadly, I am not dismissing this. I personally have had two people in my life pass...)

<span;>I simply want to highlight that for some people the vaccine will also be deadly, or cause adverse reactions.

<span;>A large portion of the U.S suffer from autoimmune diseases and there are numerous studies so far of the potential tragic effects on mRNA vaccines.  Keep in my mind autoimmune disorders and diseases are incredibly large, meaning someone with the same disorder could benefit from medication while another may not. Our genetics actually play a huge role in this and this is why there are side effects and adverse reactions. This is another contributing factor for underlying conditions that go undiagnosed sometimes.

<span;>Again, some will die from Covid  and others will die from the vaccine. No group should be more important. As mental health workers, and advocates I feel we stand by this and the inclusivity we continue to be trained on.

<span;>We know that each of us are unique individuals; Doctors change prescriptions for patients many times because a treatment that works for one person may not work for another.  We see this all the time as workers. This is the driving force for MEDICAL INNOVATION and PERSONALIZED CARE. (Do we not strive for PERSON CARE SERVICES... "Zubin Damania" a.k.a ZDogg recently discussed how providers are losing patient centered relationships/trust.)

<span;>We should remember that what's right for one person again may not be for another. We should also be giving people the benefit of the doubt before assuming or distinguishing who or what affiliation they are, based on vaccine status. I admit that amidst a crisis these things can be difficult. It can be easier to see the more simple solutions such as reducing stress and trying to give others a sense of control....When in reality we are delaying the further chaos.

<span;>I truly appreciate you taking the time to read what I have to say. If anything I feel somewhat relieved to have expressed this extremely very heavy issue.
