ENGINEERS WHO CAN BUILD 

This is a simple but well made product that meets todays quality standards. We also know this is probably not made in India. I wondered why. I think it is because our Engineers arent trained to be able to make things like this. We learn 9 semestrers of math, thermodynamics etcetc but dont know how to design and make simple things. We need to ask ourselves what we want our Mechanical and Civil Engineers to be able to do and what skills do we want them to have and develop a curriculum accordingly. For example, Product design and aesthetics should be part of the program. Besides, understanding the inner structure of materials, why not introduce our Engineering students to what options give what kind of finishes. Practical, real world information that you need to be able to create products that function well and look beautiful. If you agree please sign this petition.
