REDUCE COLLEGE FEE

The colleges have started online classes and are asking students to pay their semester fees. The thing to be taken into account is that the colleges have not reduced the fee at all.

(During this crisis when a lot of people have lost their jobs and some parents even don't have any source of income).

Since the classes are being conducted online, no electricity expense of college will be there . Classes will not be occupied so no cleaning will be done thus no need of sweepers or workers, no need of water coolers, no infrastructure related expense ; this is saving the college's money to a small or maybe a large extent.

While we, the students, have to take online lectures for which we need to recharge our mobiles for net with atleast a minimum of "1.5gb" plan to access the online classes and this costs us about 399rs(Jio) and that too sometimes is not enough to attend all the lectures. It is the responsibility of college to provide students with all the study materials, if not books then they will provide us with pdf's(for which they are taking fees) which we need to download using OUR internet since we are paying for it whereas the college's are merely asking the professors to record and send lectures. Thus, the main point of paying fees remains unfulfilled as we dont have access to labs or libraries.

  Thus this is my humble request to the college authorities or the community/council that makes decision related to the fee issues to have a look in this matter and reduce the fee since not all the students can afford to recharge their mobile phones with such expensive plans of internet. .
