Save homeopathy in Romania!

Homeopathy is a complementary method  recognized by WHO, a therapy practiced worldwide for more than 200 years, and whose effectiveness is evidenced by numerous scientific studies (see www.homeopatie-srh.ro/?page_id=674 in the doctor's Adrian Dumitrescu article, About homeopathy research), although there are studies that deny it.

In Romania, it is practiced only by specialized physicians in different fields and dentists after graduating from a two-year postgraduate course endorsed by the Ministry of Health at the National School of Public Health, Sanitary Management and Training (a course to which take part pharmacists also).

Homeopathic medicines are medicines approved in our country by the National Medicines Agency, and at European level by the European Medicines Agency.

Homeopathic products / medicines are regulated by the following EU directives:- Directive 2001/83 / EC of the European Parliament and of the Council from 6th November 2001 concerning medicinal products for human use;- Directive 2003/63 / EC containing specific references to the demonstration of the quality and safety of homeopathic medicinal products in Annex I to Directive 2001/83 / EC;- Directive 2004/27 / EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 31 March 2004.EU Member States have an obligation under EU law to transpose the provisions on medicines into national law.

Recently, USR (an opposition party) has proposed a project on the labeling of homeopathic medicines so that the following text appears on the labels: "This product has no health effects". The legislative initiative also provides that, in the case of advertising for these products, besides the invitation to read the instructions in the package leaflet and on the packaging, a sound and written warning will be added: "This is a homoeopathic product, with no health effects. "

We are protesting against the USR-initiated law project aimed at discrediting homeopathy, which is a grave violation of patients' rights to knowingly benefit from a method that could improve their quality of life and contribute to healing, a disregard for many scientific records, and national and international regulations.

If possible, please share it and sign the petition, it might be very important for homeopathy in Romania.
