PETITION TO LTA: Grab has removed its Super SteadyStreak & GemsMission Scheme to its Grab partner-drivers and replaced with Weekly Cover with Government support of the SRF (Special Relief Fund)

Comments

#1

This is not right support by Grab as it does not add more revenue to partner drivers from Grab's support.

(Singapore, 2020-02-21)

#2

We as driver, our welfare is not taken care... Low fare, low incentives and no priority to sapphire n diamond tier...

(Singapura, 2020-02-21)

#3

I am a grab driver.

(Singapore, 2020-02-21)

#6

The introduction of government SRF do not supplement to driver earning, but lower earning then before

(Singapore, 2020-02-21)

#20

Me too is a full time PHV driver

(Singapore, 2020-02-21)

#22

Grab's action and attitude is not sincere towards the people (Drivers) who makes money for them. Intention to help drivers cannot be compromised. We are not asking for more but for you (Grab) to justify our time and hard work .

(Singapore, 2020-02-21)

#23

Unfair criteria to meet relief payback. Unreasonable to remove super steady Incentive thru hard times despite lower call and low fare.

(Singapore, 2020-02-21)

#26

I am full time Grab drive. Not driving for others. This move by Grab caused me to loss out more income instead of gettimg relief which was needed at this bad time. Our income from fare already dropped by 50 percent for past 2-3 weeks.

(Singapore, 2020-02-21)

#27

Disgusting about Grab treating their drivers partners very unethical

(Singapore, 2020-02-21)

#28

I'm signing because it made no sense from a big company like Grab to do it this way at this difficult moment for everyone in the world. Where is the ethics from such big firm? Shouldn't happened in Singapore employers abuse employees or partners interest for their own benefit. Disgusted what Grab had done.

(Singapore, 2020-02-21)

#29

Left pocket given $20,right pocket take $40, if there is secrect arrangement this with grab to cover costs for the other budget, please stop it

(Singapore, 2020-02-21)

#30

Grab is making things worst

(Singapore, 2020-02-21)

#37

I am also a grab driver
And my income is severely affected

(Singapore, 2020-02-21)

#42

Not fair.

(Tampines, 2020-02-21)

#43

I'm a full time driver.

(Singapore, 2020-02-21)

#44

I’m full time grab driver but not early shift, 80 jens a week is impossible and not fare to us too.

(Singapore, 2020-02-21)

#47

With incentives and schemes cut, it is extremely difficult to sustain monthly expenses for family..

(Singapore, 2020-02-21)

#48

Grab play us out as a driver

(Singapore, 2020-02-21)

#50

This is not a relief from grab. They are reducing even more of our take home

(Singapore, 2020-02-21)

#52

We are struggling for survivals

(Singapore, 2020-02-21)

#54

So call additional relief is not a relief at all, if all other incentives stays + relief yes! It’s additional relief

(Singapore, 2020-02-21)

#56

Yes to withdrawal the current incentive and replace with new SRF support is unfair.

(Singapore, 2020-02-21)

#61

is not fair

(Singapore, 2020-02-21)

#64

Grab should be helping the affected driver, instead they are adding more pain and taking away what the driver need.
Government is helping but grab took the opportunity to undercut the driver. Is this right???

(Singapore, 2020-02-21)

#68

Whatever government give to the drivers should be 100% go to the drivers. Grab is to provide data and help government to distribute the funds to drivers only.

(Singapore, 2020-02-21)

#70

If Grab cannot handle this support for all driver's at this bad time. Let LTA do it. Grab act like they are the government and making the drivers looks stupid. The initiatives is from the government to help driver. Grab is just a facilitator and if cannot help to provide further support on top of what the government is funding, just stop your bad massaging game play and tell the government you cannot help out. Don't say yes and then do all this stupid things. Same like the grabcare initiative, what has grab done other then to facilitate through the app. I don't see the Social and corporate responsibility from grab. Don't take credit from the drivers effort.

(Singapore, 2020-02-21)

#74

Grab need to know that it's not always their policy is right

(singapore, 2020-02-21)

#75

Grab should not be taking advantage of the government support to PHV drivers

(Singapore, 2020-02-21)

#79

Grab are very mean cutting away our incentives bit by bits. How to survive when I have a family to feed n going school don't mentioned tons of debts to repay. We the loyal driver, driving for grab only make 40% nett from the fare. The rest of 60% goes to rental and petrol.Do. Grab really disregard their drivers welfare n well-being. Please help us.Please help I can go on without income.

(Singapore, 2020-02-21)

#80

It really no fair to all the driver

(Singapore, 2020-02-21)

#82

I am signing this petition as I read with disgust on how grab manipulating govt relief for drivers by imposing additional requirements such as GEM collection of 80 or more . Instead of helping drivers they are rubbing salt to injury. I understand GEM collection was never easy given the fact that it can only collected during peak hours and in specific locations such as CBD zones.

(Singapore, 2020-02-21)

#83

I see a serious misalignment between (1) the government's intention in giving out the fund to help drivers due to poor market condition and (2) the final effect of the package offered by Grab.

There is no reason to suspend Super Steady under the current market condition.

It is not appropriate to give out the fund from government as part of the "incentives".

Incentives are used to encourage good service behaviour and loyalty. It is coming out from the commission taken from the drivers' hard earned money.

The government fund is to compensate the drivers due to poor "fare" collection during this period. What Grab has offered is something to this effect, "since the drivers are getting funded by the government, we will withhold from giving out incentives to boost our bottomline".

Please help to answer these questions:

How can a driver take home less, after they received the fund from government? Where's the money gone?

Is it considered a distorted abuse of government money and good intention?

(Singapore, 2020-02-21)

#87

Grab has disregard drivers plight for a long time. They've ignored drivers feedback for a long time.

(Singapore, 2020-02-21)

#91

It's not easy for us to earn these days. It's been hard and back breaking. I could only drive so many hours to see some profit to feed my family back home. Hope you could look into the matter and help us. We are mere labourers. Thanks hope you could show us some compassion.

(Singapore, 2020-02-21)

#102

i’m honestly agree to this, cause i kids & wife to feed and cater their needs, household bills and etc it is really bad now. Hardly make $500 a week.

(Tampines, 2020-02-21)

#106

I am signing up this petition because of unfair treatment to phv drivers

(Singapore, 2020-02-21)

#112

Shame on you, Grab. Using government's relief funds for personal agenda.

(Singapore, 2020-02-21)

#121

I’m signing this because it’s VERY Unfair for drivers. Which Grab to retain loyalty of its driver partners by paying incentives on monthly and weekly basis (when certain performance are met).

(Singapore, 2020-02-22)

#123

Grab by removing the two existing incentives is effectively reducing the net financial assistance...

We Grab drivers will be worst off.

(Singapore, 2020-02-22)

#129

Affected badly decision taken by Grab as its my only source of income!!

(singapore, 2020-02-22)

#130

I am signing this as I am a full time driver now removing the SS and with low fare less ping very difficult to survive

(Yishun North, 2020-02-22)

#133

I’m signing this petition is because Grab is taking advantage of the government’s intention to help all the PHV Drivers during this difficult period. They have no compassion over their Drivers partner. Very disappointed with Grab!

(Punggol, 2020-02-22)

#137

I'm signing because is totally unfair to the Phv driver, this is there effort incentive, and your removing this incentive, than no point announcing you going to help all phv to tied over at this period. Just say that is a good time for Grab to cut incentives to save cost. Totally abuse of government funds and support.

(Singapore, 2020-02-22)

#140

It is a seperate issue altogether for government fund (without condition , AR and CR) and Super stead (Grab incentive) it is sad Grab decided to use it to its advantage. Driver depends on the incentive for livelihood.

(spore, 2020-02-23)

#144

I am affected

(Singapore, 2020-02-23)

#149

They out to eat us Drivers partners remov ung these during our time of needs there no fair competition as all controlled under 1 investor ....

(Singapore, 2020-02-24)

#150

Im also an ex phv driver signing for my fellow drivers

(Bukit batok, 2020-02-24)

#152

Not only is Grab making incentive hard to achieve, even if achieved, the amount is insignificant (about $50/week), compared to their previous schemes, which a full time diver like myself can achieve average of $240/week.
To make matter worse, just because I took a break off Sept 2019 to Nov 2019, I fall in the Grab's list of not qualified driver for the Government funded support. Criteria which is set by LTA. If you truly want to help drivers, please qualify us for the last 3 months. Not last year's Q4. This is not a selfish argument to favor myself. But it is just logical sense to gauge if the drive is current.

(Singapore, 2020-02-26)

#154

Those who are not eligible for the relief (based on Q4 2019) may have reasons behind it. Why don’t the gov help be based on reasonable number of trips per day or number of hours a driver have to drive so that they can earn this relief? Drivers’ earnings have decreased a lot, expenses are increasing (have to ownself pay for disinfectants) and now have a higher risk with least protection on income (get only a once off $100 if you catch the virus?). Not to mention Grab thinking that ALL Drivers get the relief, even removed gems Mission that allows Drivers to earn more. This Mission is already giving out lesser and lesser incentives from last year. Lowering of gems at this period also Ensure that less Drivers can meet the next level sooner. Even the driver care fund also does not mean those who can’t get the gov relief can get it. Disappointment.

(Singapore, 2020-03-08)

#155

I’m am a grab driver and due to a month on November I did not get 200 passenger then I am not eligible for government funding and I am being remove of my Grab Super Steady steak as grab did not give me chance to provide answer. Now already so bad, still remove the mission scheme. I do feel that grab is unfair to the driver

(Singapore, 2020-03-08)

#161

I AM SIGNING THIS PETITION BECAUSE GRAB HAS NOT REALLY COMING FORWARD TO HELP AT THIS CRITICAL MOMENT , LIKE WHAT THE GOVERNMENT SAID STAY UNITED AND WORK TOGETHER TO GET THROUGH THIS CRITICAL MOMENT,USING THE WEEKLY COVER IS JUST A GIMMICK. LIKE ALL DRIVERS SAID, THERE ARE LESS PASSENGERS THIS DAYS. USING GIMMICKS IS NOT FAIR AND NOT HELPING THE DRIVERS THROUGH THIS DIFFICULT TIME TOGETHER. HOPE LTA WILL LOOK INTO THIS MATTER. WE ARE SUPPOSED TO GET $20 PER DAY LIKE THE ANNOUNCED NOW WE ONLY GETTING $10 PER DAY ONLY FROM THE SRF.

(SINGAPORE, 2020-03-31)

#162

I'm a Grab driver

(Singapore, 2020-04-12)

#163

The companies begins to behave they are above the laws!

(Singapore, 2020-09-23)

#164

Taking away super steady alot of drivers drop in income, now best time to cherry pick customer all opt out auto accept. Incentive is shit now anyway

(Singapore, 2020-09-23)

#167

i feel the drivers

(singapore, 2020-09-23)

#168

sick of grab for coming with everything that does not help the drivers at all. y govt give relief to drivers but to grab not drive to drivers.

(sin, 2020-09-23)

#170

Very true that Grab is been unfair to us in this case. They are using this unfortunate time to their benefit and advantage, sad.

(Singapore, 2020-09-24)

#173

Grab is charging too much just to help us get pax and the fares are too cheap now please LTA do something about grab

(Singapore, 2020-10-25)
