It isnt fair man

The principals daughter missed more than 7 times for sure. Wonder how she would have felt if her daughter didn't get to walk the stage; This new policy started once her daughter graduated--that's not a coincidence.

(Los Angeles, 2017-05-05)

#815

I'm signing this because my daughter is involved with various music programs with in the community and having other personal needs, like dental, medical appointment that she can not possibly have perfect attendance through your the years. My daughter is involved in countless community services that her weekends and after school time is used for her enrichment of music playing.

(Los Angeles, 2017-05-05)

#827

i want to walk the stage to show how my hard work in high school paid off.

(Los Angeles, 2017-05-05)

#830

This is dumb

(Los Angeles , 2017-05-05)

#833

I have a son with chronic illness that due to his illness mrs. Some school. It is completely unfair to say that he will not be allowed when he is a senior to participate in senior activities because of his chronic illnesses. I support to senior class in repealing this ridiculous rule.

(Playa Del Rey, 2017-05-05)

#835

Midweek college visits/interviews/travel require students to miss occasional days of school. I like the idea of civic duty to beautify the campus but NOT as punitive action. This is not the way to inspire respect and pride.

(Los Angeles , 2017-05-05)

#836

What ms p is doing is unfair and unacceptable!

(Los angeles, 2017-05-05)

#842

I am a Hamilton High school senior trying to graduate

(Los Angeles, 2017-05-05)

#844

Seniors deserve to graduate if they maintainedthe steady grades

(los angeles, 2017-05-05)

#845

I disagree with this rule because there's a lot of times a student can be abesent by getting sick throughout the school year and 7 days absent are not enough and I would want my niece to graduate

(Los Angeles , 2017-05-05)

#846

i agree

(Los Angeles, 2017-05-05)

#854

I'm signing this because I feel that this should be stoped as soon as possible !

(Los Angeles, 2017-05-05)

#861

It's unfair how they treat us and how much we worked so hard to gain nothing

(Culver City, 2017-05-05)

#862

Y'all niggas should've came to school

(Beverly Hills , 2017-05-05)

#866

I'm signing because it is not fair for students who had situations excused and un excused reason the principal dead ass tripping

(Los Angeles, 2017-05-05)

#870

I'm a senior as well

(Los Angeles, 2017-05-05)

#871

I'm a great student but I come late to school often. I'm going to a great university and I don't believe something like going on a two day college trip should keep me from graduating.

(Los Angeles, 2017-05-05)

#873

they deserve to have those experinces for their have work

(Los Angeles , 2017-05-05)

#874

I'm signing because only allowing seven days to be ansent throughout the entire school year is not only unrealistic due to all of the unexpected things that could happen to students (such as illnesses, family deaths, accidents, and college trips), it's unfair to students that otherwise have good grades and make a genuine effort to be a good student and graduate. Having those absences put against them is ridiculous.

(Los Angeles, 2017-05-05)

#883

I am a Hamilton junior and I will NOT appreciate if this happens next year also since our new principal made her debut in the office there has been multiple issues concerning seniors and all they cannot do

(Los Angeles, 2017-05-05)

#886

I'm a senior

(Los Angeles , 2017-05-05)

#896

Its unfair to the students who were absent more then 7 absences because of family emerganices or sick days.

(los angeles, 2017-05-05)

#897

This makes no sense . Let these seniors graduate because they worked so hard to get to where they are right now ! The new principal should stop letting her job get to her head !

(Los Angeles , 2017-05-05)

#898

This contract is truly unfair

(Los Angeles, 2017-05-05)

#900

I am an alumni of Alexander Hamilton high school . I believe this is wrong.

(Los angles , 2017-05-05)

#902

I'm signing because I feel that the 7 day absence rule is harsh. I feel that it is very unreasonable to prevent students from graduating or prom, these are a few of the most memorable moments in a persons life.

(Long Beach, 2017-05-05)

#903

Someone I know goes there and they might not be able to graduate

(Los Angles , 2017-05-05)

#904

this decision from the new principal is stupid. if the principal gets sick, they still get paid. so why can't the students have the same? and make the students work? really! the school has more than enough money to pay for the people that go clean the school. it's like preventing you from getting your pay check. make something better, seriously. this school went down the drain once the new principal came in. make better decisions.

(Los Angeles , 2017-05-05)

#905

This is ridiculous. The principal needs to put her ego a side.

(Danville, 2017-05-05)

#906

You are treating students wrong who work so hard to keep their grades up. Students like my cousin work way to hard to keep their grade up and to just take away their graduation over them being absent 7 times out of about 180 days of school is not fair. Hamilton needs to change.

(Los Angeles, 2017-05-05)

#909

Hami Alum

(Los Angeles , 2017-05-05)

#914

I find it extremely unfair towards the seniors of Alexander Hamilton high and I would like this rule to be out of my life in the future when I become a senior in 3 years!

(Los Angeles , 2017-05-05)

#917

I would want to see my peers graduate and see them move on then rather being held in school for just a letter.

(Los angeles, 2017-05-06)

#918

My granddaughter is a student of the school

(los angelea, 2017-05-06)

#919

This is not right

(Oakland, 2017-05-06)

#921

I believe all seniors who complete their A-G requirements shouldn't be restricted from graduating & excluded from prom or any other activity

(Los Angeles , 2017-05-06)

#930

I wanna see yesenia to garduate coz she is hard working person .

(Los angeles, 2017-05-06)

#935

I'm signing because there should be a lawsuit for torturing these kids like this. To take away everything these kids look forward to as their final year as a senior is very traumatizing to these children.

(Los Angeles, 2017-05-06)

#938

This is absurd! Why are you doing this to the senior class? Does the school only receive monies for students attendance? So, any child that had health issues or doctor appointments are family emergencies has to be punished and miss the most important day of their school, or should i say "school" life?? Shame on you Principal Pensiamento!! Are you the principal of a high school or of a local penitentiary??!!

(sherman oaks, 2017-05-06)

#939

It's not fair to the students, does this also no apply to all school staff, have them sign contract also

(Venice, 2017-05-06)

#940

This whole rule is ignorant. Why have the seniors miss out on one of the most major milestones of their teenage life because of some bullshit absences. Thats ignorant and unfair

(Memphis, 2017-05-06)

#941

It's only right

(Los angeles, 2017-05-06)

#942

This is not fair to senior classes or any other class. It wasn't advertised or shown ahead of time. So that give so type of reconsiderment to the senior class.

(Inglewood , 2017-05-06)

#950

It's not right and when I went to hamilton high school we didn't haven't any ridiculous rule like this

(Los Angeles , 2017-05-06)

#952

I am a Hamilton alumni and I feel this is unfair.

(Harbor City , 2017-05-06)

#958

Because my daughter deserves to walk across that stage!! Majority of her absences were due to theatre stage tech crew work on campus. This is absolutely ridiculous

(Los Angeles, 2017-05-06)

#959

I want to see my granddaughter walk across the stage which she has earned

(Las Vegas , 2017-05-06)

#962

I dont think absences should be used as a bartering tool to get the kids to do work after school hours. This is a blatant abuse of power.
Grades=Graduation

(Concord , 2017-05-06)

#965

I believe absences should not affect your ability walk at commencement, grades should be the only determining factor.

(Los Angeles, 2017-05-06)

#967

Thats fucced up

(Los Angeles , 2017-05-06)

#968

Because this policy is ridiculous

(Los Angeles, 2017-05-06)

#969

This is my niece and she's worked hard to get where she is. Do not take away what she's worked so hard to accomplish. Let them walk the stage and be the example to the incoming classes of what they are to look forward to in their coming years.

(Las Vegas, 2017-05-06)

#976

These kids need to be supported. That's what leadership is all about.

"The only way to clear an absence is by doing manual labor."

This is embarrassing for the school community.

(Los Angeles, 2017-05-06)

#979

REMOVE THIS RULE FROM HAMILTON HIGH SCHOOL! THIS IS ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS

(Hawthorne, 2017-05-06)

#983

They need to graduate that isn't fair .

(los angeles , 2017-05-06)

#985

It's unreasonable to think that the average senior in high school may not have any other obligations or possibly get sick or hurt. This is not a valid reason to prevent a student who's grades reflect they're attention and focus are on the correct path.

(Los Angeles , 2017-05-06)

#988

I'm signing because this petition because every student deserves to go to prom and have there graduation ceremony after 12 years of hard work. Wish for the best

(Moreno Valley, 2017-05-06)

#990

This event is highly significant for students, as a psychology major, and concerned parent, I can already predict the psychological effects this will have on our seniors.

(California, 2017-05-06)

#992

Hamilton needs new rules! Have gone WAY TOO far!!

(Inglewood, 2017-05-06)

#993

It's the right thing to do. Let kids graduate.

(Los Angeles , 2017-05-06)

#995

Graduation means a lot to students!!! They spend around 12 years or even more in school for THIS moment! Why take this away from them and especially their families?! This is outrageous. I am signing this as a fellow senior at a different high school, but I still feel their pain! Gotta do better Hamilton! God got all the current seniors and future seniors as well!

(Compton, 2017-05-06)

#998

This is unfair treatment of students with medical issues and students who have proved themselves with high academic achievement!

(Hawthorne, 2017-05-06)

#999

My understanding is the school did not fulfill their end of the contract by meeting with students.

(Manhattan Beach, 2017-05-06)
