By today's guidelines from what I remember Amber Hagerman would not qualify for Amber alert.? She was missing after riding her bike, later found dead, sounds like Bedford!

Katylynn and other children may have been found alive had an Amber Alert been issued. Runaway or not all missing children should had one issued.

(Basehor, 2017-07-05)

#435

It's necessary

(Thornton , 2017-07-05)

#436

I feel that Amber alerts would change how they determine what is a "qualifies alert. I feel any child that is missing should be cause for an alert.

This needs to be immediate when a child is missing. Law enforcement spends a plethora of time on insignificant investigations. It is a travesty that this is not instituted immediately when a child is missing. If it's a waste of investigation at least a child is found and found safe. If it's legitimate at least it is something that is investigated immediately versus a certain period of time going by whereby the child continues to be in further danger and harm.

(Mansfield, 2017-07-05)

#497

This little girl was abducted not so far from my own family. She was the same age as my own daughter. I would hope that if my child was ever taken, an amber alert would be given in the hopes to save her life.

(Mesquite, 2017-07-05)

#502

Law enforcement needs all the tools available when a child goes missing.

I am signing because I believe the guidelines are to strict! A little girl might be alive today if there was a amber alert issued!!

(New Braunfels , 2017-07-05)

#522

I believe that no time should be wasted when a child goes missing, and if rules and regulations regarding Amber Alerts are preventing fast action they should be changed. I understand that may mean that there are some false alarms, but, in my opinion, one saved life is worth an unlimited number of false alarms.

(Manchester, 2017-07-05)

#523

Because we should do everything possible to protect our children!!!

(Arlington , 2017-07-05)

Every child should have a shot at being found.

(Cleveland , 2017-07-05)

#553

No child's disappearance should be hindered by outdated rules/laws. I child that has been lured from her home needs the help from every law enforcement group. Assumptions hinder a child's recovery often making it impossible.

(Fayetteville, Texas, 2017-07-05)

#556

#560

every missing child should have an amber alert as soon as a police report is filed.

(tomball, 2017-07-05)

#591

I know the mother and other family members of the young Cargill girl. We continue to pray for them and other victims of heinous crimes. Our children need to be protected first and foremost, and we all need to support law enforcement fir the greater good.

(Rockdale, 2017-07-05)

#592

If a child is missing there should be nothing standing in the way to find them. Kidnapped or runaway- a child is missing!! Putting out an amber alert is the best way to get the child's face all over social media so that the missing child can be found as soon as possible!

(Frost, 2017-07-05)

#597

Because every child's voice should be heard. The Amber Alert is a good system but maybe it is time to upgrade it so that every child had the ability to be saved.

(Bullard, 2017-07-05)

#598

Amber Alert changes must be made to include teens as well.
