I believe changing the guidelines could help save a kids life even faster. I understand that some calls on possible kids missing could be a complete waste of time. But I'd rather waste my time looking for any kid "missing", than not getting the alert out there fast enough and have wasted valuable time that went by whenever there could have been an alert out there already.

Loss of a very dear child .

(Laverne , 2017-07-06)

#809

All children missing should have this benefit. If it only saves one, it worked.

(Bertram, 2017-07-06)

#815

This affects children, anything that can be done to help find missing children SHOULD be done.

(Alvarado, 2017-07-06)

#818

Another child has gone to soon

(Euless, 2017-07-06)

#821

Better results and outcome.

(Fort Worth, 2017-07-06)

I am signing this because I have 3 teenage children. I wouldn't care what the surcumstances were, if one of them were missing for any amount of time and I did not know their location or that they were safe, I would want an amber alert issued. The sooner this is done and the more people that are looking , the more likely the child could be found safe.

(Watauga , 2017-07-06)

#831

Abuducted or not ANY missing child is critical and everything possible needs to be used to find them!

(Garland , 2017-07-06)

#834

Any child not home with their parents is in danger, there should never be limits put on the efforts to find that child.

(Royal Oak, 2017-07-06)

#836

Policies need to be changed to be more inclusive.

(Allen, 2017-07-06)

#838

I don't want to see another child lost because there is a delay in sending out an alert. This could save lives.

(McKinney, 2017-07-06)

#849

She could have been saved if Amber Alert went off. No excuses for this to not have been done. Better to go off than not and SAVE a life. If this was my child I would be suing the police department for their incorrect opinion about this life saving measure.

All children are important enough to be found with urgency

(Bedford, 2017-07-06)

#854

Because every child run away or not is in danger if they aren't where they are supposed to be and should be looked as in danger.

(Auburn hills, 2017-07-06)

#856

Just maybe this would have made a difference

(Carlsbad, 2017-07-06)

#859

I'm signing because I have children and know it only takes a matter of seconds for something to go wrong.

(Bedford, 2017-07-06)

#860

It's the right thing to do

(Oklahoma City , 2017-07-06)

#861

We need a better way to issue Amber alert

(Kaufman, 2017-07-06)

#866

Because this story broke my heart.

(Arlington, 2017-07-06)

#875

One child being lost because his/her circumstance doesn't meet "standard criteria" is unacceptable.

(Riverside, 2017-07-06)

#876

Change 24 hours wait , this time can make the difference.

(The colony, 2017-07-06)

#877

I want to help cases like Kaytlynn Cargill get proper notice.

(Westminster, 2017-07-06)

#878

I strongly believe that changes need to be made. ANY CHILD reported missing needs to have the community/state/country notified immediately. There shouldnt be a restriction of time missing, runaway, etc....

(garland, 2017-07-06)

#879

This child deserved every chance to be rescued.

(Royse City , 2017-07-06)

#881

I know Katelynne Cargill's Mom And wish her daughter could have been saved.

(Arlington, 2017-07-06)

#884

With technology & the connection our children have to the world, the deciding factor on what's a "runaway" or "child in danger" needs to be revised. The Amber Alert is great for what it is, but it was also created before social media so it needs to be updated.

(Euless, 2017-07-06)

#885

This story broke my heart. As a father of four I could not imagine what the family has been through. My deepest sympathies go out to them.

(Farmers Branch, TX, 2017-07-06)

#891

My heart breaks for this family.

#894

I want justice

(Fort Worth, 2017-07-06)

#895

Every child needs to be protected, especially when they can't speak for themselves when in danger! Please protect every child!!!

(Arlington , 2017-07-06)

#897

The guidelines should be just that, guidelines. Law enforcement should have the latitude to be able to use their discretion. It's possible that this beautiful life could have been saved if an Amber Alert had been issued. These guidelines must be changed.

(Carlsbad, NM, 2017-07-06)

#903

I am very sad over what happened to this little girl. Something needs to be changed!

(Hurst , 2017-07-06)

#904

I dont feel this girl disappearance was not done right .There should had been a amber alert. The police did not do her right.

(Fort worth, 2017-07-06)

#918

I believe the Amber Alert guidelines should change to be more effective for communities and local police.

(Arlington, 2017-07-06)

#920

KIDS don't always know right from wrong. We have to protect them! The PUBLIC should know AS SOON as they are reported missing! Whoever chose NOT to put out an Amber Alert for her - you should be ASHAMED! What if it were one of your loved ones??!!

(Forney, 2017-07-06)

#922

For katilynn and my daughter and others like them

(Fort Worth , 2017-07-06)

#929

Something needs to change. Times have changed and we need to find an updated way to enforce the Amber alert.

(Dallas, 2017-07-06)

#933

The laws need to be changed!

(Pittsburg , 2017-07-06)

#936

All to often children go missing and need immediate help. How sad it is they have to wait in danger, in the arms of a violent stranger before they can get all the available help they need to get them home safe!

(Dallas, 2017-07-06)

#937

I believe the standards need to change. We can't assume all teenage cases be runaways because they don't fit certain criteria

(Bedford, 2017-07-06)

#938

Im signing this petition because I feel like regardless of the situation if a child is missing the public should be informed.

(richland hills, 2017-07-06)

#939

I think it's time to look and change some of criteria for an amber alert.

(Caddo Mills , 2017-07-06)

#942

It's needed. An it could help our future children...

(Garland, 2017-07-06)

#944

Im signing this because I feel a change is needed for the amber alert system.

(Mabank, 2017-07-06)

#945

It needs to be changed

(Mesquite , 2017-07-06)

#947

I’m tired of having to wait 24-48 to issue an amber alert! SOMETHING NEEDS TO CHANGE!!! These are our kids that are in danger! We have to do something!

(Dallas, 2017-07-06)

#949

Sbould have been an amber alert issued for this child . She may still.be al8ve

(Hurst, 2017-07-06)

#953

Every child that goes missing deserves at least a chance!

(Bedford , 2017-07-06)

#964

There needs to be more awareness for missing children no matter what the situation are the conditions

(Burleson , 2017-07-06)

#968

I also would like to see the Amber Alert Guidlines changed to be more effective for our missing children.

(Garland, 2017-07-07)

#969

Changes need to be made

(Granbury , 2017-07-07)

#970

I'm signing because each child's life is worth it! The faster each child's face is plastered all over the better the chances of finding them!

(Canton , 2017-07-07)

#976

Would not Amber alert changed for runaways if people would think "Oh just another run away." But we need some type of alert that allows immediate posting on TV and radio for children enticed by unknown predators. As possibly happened to Kaytlynn.

(Frost, 2017-07-07)

#978

Amber Alert guidelines need to be changed in hopes of saving a child's life!!

(Henderson, 2017-07-07)

#986

I have a child and we can't have enough rules, laws or regulations to keep them safe or get them to safety sooner.

(Bedford, 2017-07-07)

#997

I have kids and this every minute and second matters.
