I'm signing b/c this accident was too close to my home & the loss of Meghan Miller was unnecessary! Too many people crash here & it has to stop. My kids & I used to walk & ride our bikes to get to the walking trails, but have stopped when I was almost hit by someone who wasn't paying attention, on the phone & didn't stop all the way. A light may not prevent accidents, but I believe it will decrease them tremendously & with the camera it will hold the drivers accountable & give out consequences when the ticket comes in the mail if the don't follow the rules. RIP Meghan ♡ may God send peace & comfort to your friends & family.

I'm signing because this intersection isn't safe and I don't want the next fatality there to be someone running the stop sign and hitting me while I have my daughters in the car.

(Jessup, 2018-02-01)

#6

I live on Guilford Road and the volume of traffic has increased significantly

(jessup, 2018-02-01)

#13

I've had many close calls there too

(Laurel, 2018-02-01)

#16

This intersection needs a traffic light to ensure citizen safety.

(Elkridge , 2018-02-01)

#17

We live in Glen Oaks. The amount of disregard for the 4-way stop is astounding. While the traffic pattern here was okay 20 years ago, community growth has led to a very congested area without safe restraints for traffic. Stop signs are not enough anymore. Please install a traffic light here. Such a tragic loss of life can be avoided.

(Columbia, 2018-02-01)

#18

I live right next to this intersection and pass through several times each day. My family and I have had multiple close calls as drivers come to rolling stops or aggressively try to jump the order and go ahead of other drivers waiting at the intersection. Although the most recent accident is the first fatality that we are aware of, we have lost count of the number of motor vehicle crashes that we have witnessed at this intersection.

(Columbia, 2018-02-01)

#23

This 4way stop should have had a stop light years ago. I have lived in the area all my life and have witnessed several accidents.

(Jessup, 2018-02-01)

#25

I drive through this intersection daily and have almost been hit way too many times. A light would help direct the traffic better than the 4 way stop and keep things moving during rush hour.

(Jessup, 2018-02-01)

#33

I use this intersection at least twice daily. It is unsafe and drivers do not pay enough attention.

(Columbia, 2018-02-01)

(Columbia , 2018-02-01)

#84

My sister's friend lost her life at this intersection. It needs to be fixed.

(Elkridge, 2018-02-02)

#87

I feel as if a stop sign at this intersection will be safer and prevent future accidents. This is an awkward intersection. There is heavy traffic during rush hour.

(Jessup, 2018-02-02)

#91

I’m signing for Meghan ❤️

(Beltsville , 2018-02-02)

#96

For Meghan Miller and the safety of others

(Annapolis , 2018-02-02)

#98

I’m signing because I drive through this intersection a lot because my girlfriend’s family lives on Glen Oaks Lane. It is very dangerous and I have witnessed several accidents.

(Eldersburg, 2018-02-02)

#99

I live off of Vollmerhausen Road and have lived there For 22 years. My brother, son and his family live off of Glen Oaks Lane. I go through this intersection frequently. My son, 2 of my friends and myself have all been in accidents at this intersection. People don’t know the rules for the 4 way stop and/ or don’t pay attention. It is very dangerous especially during rush hour in the evening. I’m always nervous going through it. A light or a turnabout is really necessary at this intersection.

(Jessup, 2018-02-02)

#102

I’m signing because I have friends that travel that area every day and I want them to be safe.

(Olney, 2018-02-02)

#104

I am signing for Meghan Miller

(Severn, 2018-02-02)

#107

I am signing because this has been bad intersection got a long time but as of late I lost my best friend because of a car accident at this intersection.

(Baltimore, 2018-02-02)

#108

Besides the sheer fact that it takes ten min to make a right turn on to Oakland mills after 5pm, someone died here bc lack of signals. I think that’s reason enough. Prayers to the family ❣️❣️

(Columbia , 2018-02-02)

#116

My family lives here and I want them to be safe

(Damascus, 2018-02-02)

#117

I travel through this intersection frequently and have seen too many close calls. A traffic signal would greatly benefit the safety of all drivers in the area.

(Laurel, MD, 2018-02-02)

#118

(Owings Mills, 2018-02-02)

#122

Meghan Miller ❤

(Columbia, MD, 2018-02-02)

#123

I'm signing because my beautiful friend died at this intersection.

(Oconomowoc, 2018-02-02)

#129

People piggy back at this 4 way. 2 people have died. To much traffick for a 4 way stop. If they put one at Vollmerhausen, then one should definitely go here.

(Jessup, 2018-02-02)

#133

I've been there and see all the confusion.

(Columbia, 2018-02-02)

#140

This light should have been installed years ago.

(Columbia, 2018-02-02)

#144

I myself have been a victim of this intersection and almost more than once because people are foreign to the use of a 4way stop sign. I'm done with it. Volmerhausen got a light. Guilford at okland mills NEEDS a light! There is a collision here at least once a week!!

(Columbia, 2018-02-02)

#147

I drive through this intersection to and from work everyday. I have just missed getting hit by another car, at least three times. Please put a light there asap!!

(Jessup, 2018-02-02)

#150

No more lives to be lost, no more tears to be shed...

(Elkridge, 2018-02-02)

#159

I live in this neighborhood and don't want to get killed here.

(Columbia, 2018-02-02)

#162

In memory of Meghan, killed at this intersection on 1/30/2018

(Laurel, 2018-02-02)

#164

I am signing because I used to live up the street from there and was always terrified of that intersection. It’s busy and needs a light and has for years.

(Annapolis, 2018-02-02)

#173

A Beautiful Girl was just Killed at this Dangerous Intersection. Let’s fix it Before another Life is taken way to soon. Thank You!

(Laurel, 2018-02-02)

#178

This should never have happened. Too many accidents at this spot.

(Ellicott City, 2018-02-02)

#180

I think a traffic circle would be better than a light.

(Columbia, 2018-02-03)

#182

The tragic death of Meghan Miller should not have happened. The intersection is dangerous. Listen to the people!

(Columbia, 2018-02-03)

#183

My grandson and his family live near that intersection and travel these roads everyday.

(Fulton, 2018-02-03)

#186

This is my neighborhood and l have grandchildren that attend the elementary that is near the intersection!

(Columbia, 2018-02-03)

#187

THAT IS AN EXTREMELY DANGEROUS INTERSECTION

(Glen Burnie, 2018-02-03)

#190

We used to live down the street, had many close calls because of drivers not paying attention. It's been unsafe for many years, my husband had an accident there a long time ago.

(Mount Airy , 2018-02-03)

#195

I'm signing because I used to use this road frequently to go into Columbia, choosing to take the backroads vs. than the busy interstate.
Over the years (I've lived here ten years now) it's become so busy and people don't allows follow the right away. I actually prefer taking the interstate now and feel safer. I feel for those leaving in the area who have no choice but use it since they live there. I could foresee some people moving out of the neighborhood because they don't want to deal with it anymore. I do believe a traffic light would be more effective in this busy intersection.

(Laurel, 2018-02-03)

#196

I drive through this intersection every day with my baby in the backseat and am always concerned for our safety. It is especially scary when dark out. With how heavily these roads are traveled, a traffic light would benefit everyone. There is no downside to this plan!

(Columbia, 2018-02-03)
