I believe it's important to preserve the 2 lanes on each side of the road because it will help with the congestion with traffic.

I've been a resident here for 40 yrs. and I grew up in the area on Whitney Rd. been in the area 66 yrs. It's always been difficult because of the massive traffic which has increased over the years. Lessening the lanes would only make things worse. If anything you should widen it even more. I am adamantly against the idea for I live in the area and it would make things harder for us to get in and out to make it to our various destinations. And further more this road should have been paved YEARS AGO Why is it from from Webster / Penfield area has been taken care of and we haven't been taken care of. Try doing that over there. It would be like taking a 300 pound lady and squeeze her into a bikini. It will increase accidents. It should be comfortable to enter and exit out of here. We don't need bicycle lanes there. It is imperative we keep 2 lanes both directions. I've ridden my bicycle up and down Empire since I was a kid. I vote against a bike lane. Furthermore when they did that construction on 104 for the ramp for the bay bridge, that caused an incredible jam on Empire Blvd. all over. NO WAY to make it out from the side streets. This is a major - major State Rd. with Heavy traffic. It's bad enough as it is now. When can we vote on this?

All Empire Blvd needs is repaving and addition of sidewalks. I've ridden a bicycle along that stretch of road many times and never had a problem. Adding bike lanes would just encourage people to sneak along the bike when there is conjestion. If people cross at the lights, they should be perfectly safe when crossing 4 lanes vs 3 lanes and bike lanes.

I'm signing because I feel that if Empire Blvd. is reduced to one lane of traffic in each direction the congestion will increase by more than double. It was particularly bad last summer with the rerouted traffic due to construction projects on 104 and that was with two lanes. What Empire Blvd deserves in a complete repaving and keeping it as is.

This is only going to make the congestion on this part of Empire Blvd. worse!

I'm signing because I believe there will be too much congestion on Empire Boulevard if it is changed to one lane each way between Helendale and Culver. Even though there will be a center left-turn lane, I still think the intersection of Empire and Culver may end up being a bit of a mess as the streets come together.
