Mr Rumsey is truly an exceptional man who wanted his students to excel in every aspect of their lives, especially in keeping music in their hearts and souls. His dedication and love for the kids and this community are immeasurable! Thank you for considering bestowing this honor on a truly deserving and talented educator. NLCS is blessed to have had this special teacher, mentor and leader, and fortunately for us, we are blessed Bedford is still his home.

Mr. Rumsey was my music teacher in elementary, many many years ago.!!! His grandson, who passed away in 2003, was one of my very very good friends. Guy has always been so extremely dedicated to his work and he is such a wonderful family person.!!! The Performing Arts Center most definitely needs to be changed in honor of Guy Rumsey.!!!

I'm signing this because I took lessons with Guy Rumsey for 8 years. He worked with us in Orchestra and choirs, all the musicals and specials. This man is an integral part of who I am and the people I raise my children to be. I still cherish this man everyday despite being out of school for the past 15 years. He is and always will be my favorite teacher and an overall amazing human being. God bless this man!

Mr. Guy Rumsey is an excellent educator who was my beginning strings instructor. His early influence in my learning about music was paramount to moulding that knowledge into a successful high school band career, and I have maintained that knowledge and skill into adulthood. Renaming the PAC in his honor would be wonderful.

Like so many other music students that went through Bedford North Lawrence music programs, I had many wonderful teachers. Mr Rumsey always set a professional, respectful and safe environment in which to learn music and the arts. He always provided opportunities for so many of us to learn the love and appreciation of music. I fondly remember some of the high school musicals in which I could take part in the musical orchestra. His passion for music and teaching were obvious to all his students and their families. And Knowing a little bit about him personally, I can think of no one who deserves this honor for his selfless devotion to the wellbeing and mentoring of so many Lawrence county children throughout his long tenure.
