i'm signing because i need this to happen

Im singing because poly graduation isn't just a walk-up-stage-get-diploma-thing, it's a whole ceremony where all the fruits of your labour are finally paid off. Some courses and schools also have a graduation show, that was cancelled as well, so give them this at least.

Manuel Mauricio (singapore, 2020-04-06)

#17

im signing this because my seniors deserve a proper graduation !1!1!!1!1!

I’m affected too and it is really saddening not to be able to walk down the stage and complete my journey

i'm signing because it is really unfair to work so hard for 3 years, sacrificing sleep, money, blood, sweat and tears to not be able to wear a graduating gown and have an official graduation ceremony. cancelling the entire ceremony is not even supposed to be in discussion because we all really should graduate with honour and feel proud about the effort put in for the past 3 years. please postpone the ceremony and NOT cancel it.

cheryl phua (singapore, 2020-04-06)

#29

How can it be fair that we are probs the only batch of students to not get a graduation cos of Covid 19?!?

Elizabeth Joy Lee (Singapore, 2020-04-06)

#30

I want them to postpone the graduation ceremony instead of cancelling it. We went through a lot in these past 3 years and we deserved this graduation. Kindly asking for it to be postponed when the situation is better. Please !!

Kishen Kumar (Ang Mo Kio, 2020-04-06)

#36

It's really unfair for us. We all worked really hard for the past 3 years and sacrificed a lot to complete our studies, so that we could celebrate our success by walking up that stage and receiving our diplomas in front of our friends, teachers and loved ones. Canceling our graduation ceremony is like canceling our blood, sweat, and tears :( Please reconsider the cancellation NYP :((

Every student deserves a chance to experience their graduation ceremony as it is an important milestone in their journey. They have placed a lot of effort into achieving their certificate and it should be rewarded.

I’m signing because every student deserves a graduation.

Sherinn Azman (Singapore , 2020-04-06)

#64

because we deserve a graduation as a “congratulation” on our journey as a student in NYP and actually surviving and completing our diploma. Even if it’s a small send off in a much later date would be nicer than a cancellation.

Xin Yi Lim (Singapore, 2020-04-06)

#68

I would like to support in postponing instead of cancelling the graduation day as all the students hard works and accomplishment efforts of their studies should be celebrated with their loved ones especially.

My daughter had spent 3 years for this moment to finally graduate and the school has to cancel it instead of postponing. Moreover she is the only child who graduates with polytechnic certificate in our family. I want to see her don the graduation gown.

I know an online petition won't change anything but it is still worth it to try.

Mehnaz Anfi (Singapore, 2020-04-07)

#124

I’m signing because I strongly feel the graduation ceremony should be postponed till when things get better and it will be fair for all the graduates who have worked hard for their diploma and it’s not the students who are looking forward to this joyous occasion. Their family and friends included to celebrate this milestone.

Danial Haziq (Singapore, 2020-04-07)

#126

I am signing this because I feel that the 2020 batch of graduating students deserves to have a ceremony and celebrate this milestone like everyone else despite the Covid-19 situation.

I WANT GRADUATION CEREMONY PLEASE

Nurhidayah Alias (Singapore, 2020-04-07)

#138

My sister was looking forward to her graduation. This would have been her first ever graduation as all her school graduations were cancelled by unforeseen circumstances. She wanted to also feel a sense of overwhelming satisfaction for making it into the dean's list, having struggled in her course. It would mean alot to those graduating to have it postponed after many of them have struggled through 3 years or maybe even more to graduate.

Geralyn Toh (Singapore, 2020-04-07)

#140

Life is short

Benny Goh (Singapore, 2020-04-07)

#141

The graduation should be postponed once COVID 19 has cleared. Does not matter when this pandemic will end as long as the graduation is not cancelled. All graduands had work very hard for the past 3years and this is their milesstone. It is time for graduands to celebrate their achievement.

Zarina Zarina (Singapore, 2020-04-07)

#143

I am signing because I really want to celebrate my graduation ceremony. It is a very important event in my life.

Because my son is a SBM SW graduand this year. He and all 2020 NYP graduands had put in blood and sweat to complete their courses. They deserve this ceremony to mark the milestone. There is an option - POSTPONEMENT. Please dont cancel. Please postpone.

Sara Chan (Singapore, 2020-04-12)
