Because if it will be allowed it will be a precedent to those who want to cut more trees in Baguio City.

I’m signing because we have too many buildings! Let’s keep the trees.

Rudolf Lenard Castillo (Baguio City, 2020-06-25)

We need more trees than buildings! Seriously, there's no jurisdiction of the provincial or regional DENR offices that the developer needs to go to the national office? That it's fine to undermine the city government & the people's view or decision? Shame!

Fairlane Inso (Baguio , 2020-06-25)

#1220

I believed that in order to preserve the beauty of baguio, cutting of trees shall be disallowed. And trees can help to ensure the future (safety and life) of baguio city residents.

I'm signing because I love Baguio. Let the people live a simple life. High rise condominiums and residences has no place here. Let's put back the old Baguio where pine trees abound. Please leave us in peace!

Baguio is our Baguio. Continuing cutting of the trees means destruction of Baguio City, and the environment .

Though I'm not from Baguio, this city has been very special to my heart. Some of my relatives live here. I keep on visiting them as much as I could and whenever I visit this lovely city well known for its pine trees, I find myself in a paradise of clouds kissing the mountains fresh with air and crystal clear dews that keep my mind at peace and free from worries and stress.. Instead of cutting down those trees, PLEASE... SAVE THEM ALL AND PLANT MORE AND MORE FOR THE NEXT GENERATIONS TO COME.

Frances Catabas (Cabanatuan City, 2020-06-25)

I'm signing because I don't want regrets. I don't want to feel regretful and pitiful all at the same time whenever I would go to the city. I don't live in Baguio but I've seen the city grown and be devastated at the same time. Building at all angles, there's not enough trees to supply the city with breeze and clean air. As a resident of Sablan, Baguio is where we get most of the things we need. It's where me and most of the people I know study. I don't want to introduce Baguio as a city once filled with trees as now a city of high urbanization but is dead. I think some people have already forgotten about 'sustainable development'. With these things going on, I could say it should be branded as reckless development. I'm courageous enough to say this. Me and the people of Baguio need no urbanization like this. We need clean air, trees and corporations won't be able to give us that. We need to wait for years just in case they veil their deceiving intentions with "tree-planting activities." And the vista residence they plan to built, it will not be for the residents of Baguio rest assured.

Shaira Nicole Guivac (Sablan, 2020-06-25)

As a future architect, I believe in the importance of the resident's voice when it comes to building and designing structures, mainly because they are part of a bigger picture. We aren't taught to built out of money and profit but of necessity and comfort and with much consideration of our next generation. Baguio is overloaded with buildings already. Remember that we are known for our cold climate that comes naturally from these tress, not from buildings. Please let's stop sacrificing our nature for temporary profits.

I am concerned about the environment. The trees are far more important than any structure himans want to build...

Yam Alcantara (Baguio City, 2020-06-25)

This is unacceptable

Real estate development isn’t a significant indicator of progress. It may be for economic reasons ( for a few, i.e. the investors and owners), but it doesn’t do much for the holistic standards of living ( clean air, happiness, clean water, etc.). Besides, Baguio has a very limited capacity and we have actually gone past it already! Let’s preserve and appreciate the little that we have now!

Keith Alindan (Baguio, 2020-06-25)

#1334

Its not appropriate to do so.

Ariel Ignacio (Paranaque , 2020-06-26)

Enough trees have already been cut in the past. Leave Baguio to flourish.

Alyssa Komiya (Agoo, La Union, 2020-06-26)

#1371

I'm signing because there are not much trees left in Baguio. The city has been so much urbanized, with high rise building here and there at the expense of these pines which the city is known for. NO MORE residential development that compromises the welfare of our envieonment. DENR - please walk the talk/practice what you preach. Don't just give out permits readily. Please consult the LGU and residents.

Constante Damaguen (Baguio , 2020-06-26)

BAGUIO CITY IS A SMALL TOWN AND WE DON’T NEED MORE CONDOMINIUMS. DESTRUCTION OF THE ENVIRONMENT WILL RUIN BAGUIO CITY. DO NOT CONSIDER MY HOME TOWN FOR THESE CONDOMINIUMS BECAUSE THIS IS NOT METRO MANILA. PLEASE STOP. THANKS

Shania Rufino (Baguio City, 2020-06-26)

#1375

I'm signing because Baguio is my hometown and I'm okay if Baguio will progress but if it means sacrificing 'trees'? I would rather live in a forest than a city with buildings and polluted air.

Kevin Paul Juganas (Baguio City, 2020-06-26)

#1397

The consequences of cutting these trees all at once may not be felt by those in Manila but by the residences of Baguio and other low-lying areas. Is the urbanization of the area worth risking the well-being and safety of those living in proximity and others who will be affected by the possible events to follow?
