These kids have been through enough and have the right to play!!

Patricia Szuwalski (Middletown , 2020-11-14)

The kids should be able to play if they have not been required to quarantine for any reason.

Katie Prall (Kinnelon, 2020-11-14)

I'm signing this petition because my niece is a soccer player for your high school and she deserves to finish her season!!!

Suzanne Wright (Bridgewater , 2020-11-14)

#423

There's no reason or law that says they can't finish the season. Kids have such a low probability of getting seriously sick and dying. Stop abusing your power and position

Joli Toth (MIDDLETOWN, 2020-11-14)

#426

I believe they should play the game!

Lauren Marco (Waldwick, 2020-11-14)

My son is a senior whose last home football game was taken away from him erroneously despite very clear NJSIAA guidelines.

School sports programs provide a healthy outlet for kids and parents alike. It is important that our kids maintain physical health and sports is one way to do it. Risks are minimal. If a parent or child do not want to participate they can choose not to.

Shelly Kennedy (Atlantic Highlands, 2020-11-14)

#437

It’s not fair some schools are playing and public schools aren’t.

Lori Corcoran Seggio (Middletown, 2020-11-14)

#440

Sports/activities are as vital to our student athletes as much as education. They need this for their mental health. Find a way... LET THEM PLAY!

Laura Bruen (Middletown , 2020-11-14)

#444

Sports teach vital lessons to children that can nit ve learned in a book or in a class room. Stop the totalitarian ways that are ruining these kids childhood.

We don’t live in Russia!

Dino Bochicchio (Red Bank, 2020-11-14)

Kids should be able to play indoor and outdoor sports. Too much free time leads to worse things than Covid!!

Donna Smith (Middletown , 2020-11-14)

#453

There is no reason why some schools are virtual and playing sports and our kids cannot.

Raquel Manning (Red bank, 2020-11-14)

I’m signing because these girls have worked hard and deserve their shot when all health mandates have been followed and other schools in NJ are still allowed to practice and play.

#501

These kids work hard and have a right to this sense of normalcy in their lives.

I am a senior affected by this decision and like every other student athlete we just want a chance to finish the season we all have worked so hard for.

In the space of a few short hours, on Friday the 13th students at South lost their Sports, Principal, and in person education- at what point can we begin to believe that the overall well being, which includes mental Heath, is important?

Susan Remian Burns (Middletown, 2020-11-15)

My nephew is a senior and this will be his last year playing football in high school. We must give these boys and girls that play sports and their families the ability to decide whether or not they play. This is basically the last year of their childhood.

Matthew Valencia (New Jersey, 2020-11-15)

#512

I want these boys to finish the season

William Mauro (Lincroft, 2020-11-15)

I don't understand why the sports teams cannot play if they do not have covid cases like other public schools

Raymond Jankowski (Middletown, 2020-11-15)

#514

The Middletown school district is not acting on data related to COVID counts associated with their schools.

Aimee Tanglao (Belford, 2020-11-15)

#559

I feel that high school sports should be played by students who are not sick with covid. These kids are losing a lot right now and allowing them to play sports helps them to stay in shape, allows them to maintain a healthy social interaction with other kids since they will not be in school, and helps them stay sane.
Staying involved in sports keeps kids out of trouble and helps to keep them busy so they don’t make bad choices due to boredom.

Noel Latore (Leonardo, 2020-11-15)

#563

Don’t take this away from these kids, your hurting the Seniors last year.

Rose Cinquegrana (N. Middletown , 2020-11-15)

#573

I believe that it is much healthier to get on with life that contribute to fear. I do believe in safety and using common sense. I believe that the number of possitive case that are asymptomatic far out way those that are so I'll they need to be hospitalized. It should be each families choice.
