We must preserve our beautiful nature

Linda Ivancic (Maple Ridge , 2020-11-16)

#13

We are seeing too many green spaces being destroyed as well as heritage buildings. Our children’s children will not know what an open field or a green space looks like as they are packed into small and unaffordable living complexes.

Darleen Bernard (Maple Rudge, 2020-11-16)

#15

Protect the area and water ways.

Shannon Adams (Maple Ridge, 2020-11-16)

#20

I feel strongly that we should NOT further develop Yennadon, Silver Valley, Rock Ridge etc

Tanya Jonasson (Maple Ridge , 2020-11-16)

#23

We need to keep natural spaces for our environment and no need to expand more residential.

Cassie C (Maple Ridge, 2020-11-17)

#24

I live in this neighborhood and i do not think this is smart for the area

Soroor Mayahi (Maple ridge, 2020-11-17)

#26

Because i live here, and moved here because of the wildlife. Yennadon and Silver Valley do not have the road infrastructure to support such a project, nor do we want it. Build schools!!

Tamara Waugh (Maple Ridge , 2020-11-17)

#28

I live in Silver Valley and would like to see the natural environment preserved. There is a great deal of construction going on with no thought to supporting infrastructure or the environment.

Kim Mckercher (Maple Ridge, 2020-11-17)

The city is ruining the beauty that drives people to move to maple ridge developers are so money hungry they throw triplexes and condos on land that should not have move than two single family homes it’s a shame and I’m tired of the greed and corruption ruining the beautiful city I grew up in

Samuel Smith (Maple ridge, 2020-11-17)

#42

Nature and my neighbourhood is important! I live here to get away from the developments!

Nataly Bean (Maple ridge , 2020-11-17)

#43

I’m against developing the land in and around Yennadon

Chaline Beekmans (Maple Ridge , 2020-11-17)

#44

I live here and care about the animals, there are to many developers around here already. And they’d is a family neighborhood not commercial.

Idina Vegh (Maple ridge, 2020-11-17)

#48

My family lives in this community.

Erin Lemon (Maple ridge, 2020-11-17)

#54

because I love the area and all the trees and animals. Over the past 5 years the area has changed lots have been developed for multi family houses. Maple ridge is losing its appeal.

Cricket minich Minich (maple ridge, 2020-11-17)

#60

Save our wild life the animals were here 1st.and need homes too

Bonny Wood (Maple Ridge, 2020-11-17)

#65

This is my neighbourhood and over the years I've been so dismayed watching the green space become less and less. My children absolutely love when we see the wildlife around and living amongst all the wildlife presents so many teachable moments for them. Please protect this area!

Hayley Dion (Maple Ridge, 2020-11-17)

#67

I’ve lived in this area for 40+yrs and know the diversity and vastness of wildlife and fish in this area ... development of this area as it’s being presented is too large an area and too close to salmon bearing creeks ..

Robin Dei (Maple Ridge , 2020-11-17)

#72

I don’t support this development. Save our wildlife and preserve our green spaces.

James Wall (Maple Ridge, 2020-11-17)

#75

Maple Ridge needs to protect green space, this is not the right area for industry.

Julia Pottinger (Maple Ridge, 2020-11-17)

#78

I grew up in ridge and it’s turning into a metropolis of homes, need to keep the beauty!

Steve Sikora (Mission, 2020-11-17)

#87

This is the wrong location for an Industrial Park. Albion Flats is a better solution.

Regula Vickery (Maple Ridge, 2020-11-17)

#89

I’m signing because I live in this beautiful area and am of sick of the constant building & stress put on our meagre infrastructure. Enough! Our neighbourhoods are frequently visited by displaced wildlife and there are a heartbreaking number of posts about deer hit by cars.

Lori Hamilton (Maple Ridge, 2020-11-17)

#92

Stop the developers from destroying our green space. All they are interested & the city is in money. Find other ways to make money. Keep Maple Rudge Green.

Annie Singh (Maple Ridge, 2020-11-17)

#97

Former longtime Maple Ridge resident who hates to see what has happened to so much of the wilderness around town.

Terry Daniels (Port Alberni, 2020-11-17)

#103

I’m signing because it’s a disgrace to the silver valley area in the disrespect shown to Wildlife, & destruction of trees & land with development! Enough is Enough...‼️Stop Development NOW!

Darcee Proden (Maple ridge, 2020-11-17)

#114

I don’t want this land developed

Chantal Blais (Maple Ridge, 2020-11-18)

#118

I’m signing this because there is too much development up this way and not enough thought out into where the wildlife will go.

Trish Coft (Maple Ridge , 2020-11-18)

#119

I live here and have watch the daily destruction of the trees, natural vegetation and homes for the animals. There are deer, bears, raccoons, coyotes, and they are disappearing.

Mary Holland (Mapke aRidge, 2020-11-18)

#122

Tired of all the housing construction going on in this town without sensitive urban planning to the people who live here and the natural habitat we enjoy. Realtors have too much say in what happens in this town

Susan Brearley (Maple Ridge, B C, 2020-11-19)

#124

Because, so many animals are being pushed out to suit our comfort. When will we learn when we upset an balance bad things happen. I also personally love seeing all the wild life, and teaching my children about respecting not only other people but other species. Teaching them that they can change the future.

Catherine Lutke (Maple Ridge, 2020-11-19)

#126

I love the green spaces in our city.

Rod Olson (Maple Ridge, 2020-11-19)

#131

Tired of losing green space

Jeremy Birch (Maple ridge, 2020-11-20)

#134

We MUST protect our wildlife and preserve as much forest and green space as possible. Our wildlife and wilderness are what makes Maple Ridge beautiful. We are being way over developed! Way too much destruction of beauty and nature to build more condos and townhouses. We need to change the focus before its too late!

LC Tarris (Maple Ridge , 2020-11-21)

#135

Our property backs onto this incredible green space, we have lived here for 20 years. We have seen Bobcats, bears, coyotes, herons, eagles, hawks, many different species of birds. This green space is home to so many species of wildlife. I hope the city will reconsider the current plan for this property.

Jamie DeAdder (Maple Ridge, 2020-11-21)

#141

I’m sickened by what you are planning to do. Maybe you should think about all the animals that live here!! Where are they suppose to go! Not just about making the all mighty dollar!! Government is so greedy and don’t give a rats ass about anything! Please just leave this little piece of wonder!!!!

Katherine Cobb (Maple Ridge, BC, 2020-11-21)

#142

This land is a green corridor for the wildlife and a spawning creek runs through. we must protect our land

Judy O'Dine (Maple Ridge, 2020-11-21)

#147

I'm signing because this naturally sustained eco-system needs my voice.
We have a specially concerned species of bird; The Blue Heron that is a daily traveler and hunter is this area. Seen with a mate most Springs and therefore is probably nesting nearby.
- "Speaking live at the Sept. 28 Leader’s Pledge, the Prime Minister joined more than 70 world leaders in committing to “reverse nature loss by 2030.” . . . Let maple Ridge be a part of this action and leave Yennadon Lands alone.

Evelyne Bliss (Maple Ridge, 2020-11-22)

#148

Wrong area for industrial land.

Cameron Tupper (Maple Ridge, 2020-11-22)

#151

I care about the wild life in this area

Michael Bliss (Maple Ridge, 2020-11-22)

#152

I care about the ecosystem and so want it preserved for future generations. It would be a real loss to our community if these lands were developed.

Betty-Jean Griffiths (MAPLE RIDGE, 2020-11-22)

#157

I moved to silver valley because of the nature of trees and animals , this must be kept the way it is , this is one of the reasons family’s move here

Sherri Kennedy (Maple ridge, 2020-11-23)

#161

One of the things I love about Maple Ridge is all the trees and nature. We do not need more development.

Josie Lombardi (Maple Ridge, 2020-11-23)

#162

We need some green space left on our community. This piece of land houses soooo many different forms of wildlife!!!!

Amanda Kreutzwieser (Maple ridge , 2020-11-23)

#165

The Wild life cannot speak to city council and they need their home to be protected, not turned into urban sprawl and industrial parks. Quiet wilderness space is important and we cannot pave everything for "progress".

Darrell Shibley (Maple Ridge, 2020-11-23)

#168

I want maple ridge to stay a nature town!

Olivia Parent (Maple ridge , 2020-11-23)

#169

because this is crucial. This area must be protected!!!! We must do better!!!!!

Nancy Lefebvre (Maple Ridge , 2020-11-23)

#175

Enough with all the development, there are empty buildings every where since this stupid pandemic. Seriously stop killing the wildlife.

Deanne Hayter (Maple Ridge, 2020-11-23)

#176

It’s the right thing to do!

Lynda Green (Maple Ridge, 2020-11-23)

#179

I'm signing because I am disgusted by the amount of development that is going on in Maple Ridge. It is imperative that more land left untouched for our wildlife and the future.

Darline Woloshyn (Maple Ridge, 2020-11-24)

#181

We moved to this area specifically because of the nature, wildlife, and tranquility, not because we wanted to live next to an industrial park and hear continuous traffic in our neighborhood. The wildlife needs this space more than we need another industrial park.

Jodie Shibley (Maple Ridge, 2020-11-24)

#183

Because I walk everyday in the beautiful green spaces throughout M.R. , I see the animals that call this home. Like us they deserve to be safe and secure. We cannot depend on the UBC forest and Golden Ears to house all of the diverse and beautiful animals we have in our lovely community. I moved here because of the beautiful green spaces and so did many others. We need to preserve those spaces.

Lelia Nutt (Maple Ridge, 2020-11-24)

#185

I’m signing because we don’t need more traffic and must protect our greenspaces

Bonnie Minaker Barron (Maple Ridge, 2020-11-24)

#186

Not enough infrastructure to support the millions of townhouses and all the people who will live in them. Irresponsible governments and developers .

Michelle Testa (Maple Ridge, 2020-11-24)

#191

I attended a lecture about climate change in 1981 by a representative of the oil industry in Alberta and I am concerned about the future.

Marian Schwaiger (Maple Ridge, 2020-11-24)

#192

I grew up in Maple Ridge and lived there over 30 years.
Also, SAVE THE SOUTH ALOUETTE RIVER

Elizabeth Foreman (Salmon Arm, 2020-11-24)

#194

I want to save the land for our wildlife. Soon there will be nothing left fit them.

Colleen Estridge (Maple Ridge, 2020-11-24)

This is my home area
