I syppprt growth and progress but this is the wrong project for Middletown!

Amy Poyas (Middletown, 2021-01-29)

#3

This is ridiculous. Middletown is built up enough! Stop ruining the town. Disgusting display of greed and developer entitlement.

Michelle Susi (Middletown , 2021-01-29)

#16

This is pure greed at work. Theses developers have no regard for what the existing residents want or need.

Daniel Healey (Middletown, 2021-01-29)

#18

I oppose additional high density housing in Middletown due to current congestion and lack of amenities to support the local community.

Keith Fishlock (Middletown , 2021-01-29)

#23

I’m signing this petition because our town doesn’t need anymore congestion .

John Conner (Middletown , 2021-01-29)

#26

Because I do not want 119 townhomes in my neighborhood interfering with traffic and making it unsafe with my kids.

ALISON ROBINSON (MIDDLETOWN, 2021-01-29)

#27

I already hate that it takes a half an hour at lunchtime to drive from one side of town to the other side.

Angela Wolset (Middletown, 2021-01-29)

#29

This town is already becoming far too congested. Our school system will take a hit as well with more students in the district.

Christin Chambers (Middletown, 2021-01-29)

#30

Too much traffic with kids walking to school, as it is!

Kate Rokosz (Middletown , 2021-01-29)

#32

I really can not see how this could even get approved. The area can not handle that volume of people or cars. You are looking at adding a minimum of 119 cars but you know it would be more to an area already saturated with volume.

Angelique Colombo (Middletown, 2021-01-29)

#35

We don’t need more houses in an already congested area

Ashley Malinowski (Middletown, 2021-01-29)

#45

There is too much traffic on the road already there are much better places to put town houses

Alysen Akers (Middletown, 2021-01-29)

#46

Middletown and the surrounding areas (MOT) is already so built up. The roads are congested and adding more homes is not going to help. Middletown use to be such a nice and quiet place to live. No longer. Are we trying to become Wilmington? I decided to live here because I did not want to live in a crowded area.

Angelique Okita (Townsend, 2021-01-29)

#49

This area in question is already congested. Adding these homes will not only impact the lifestyle of all those in the surrounding community but add major delays to work commutes, school drop off and pick ups and youth sports in an already congested Silver Lake Park. I am all for housing development and bringing money into our small town, this is just not the spot to do it.

Shawn Friel (Middletown , 2021-01-29)

#54

Overpopulating and high traffic

Vinnette Fisher (Townsend , 2021-01-29)

#56

Traffic is bad enough on Rt 299 and they shouldn’t be encroaching on green space that was promised to residents of Middletown Crossing when they purchased their homes.

Kathleen Pacana (Middletown, 2021-01-29)

#57

The downtown area does not need more traffic or people. It will not enhance or improve the town therefore it should not be done. Eventually people will move away from Middletown to go somewhere less crowded and these, among other homes, and businesses will be empty. Have them go elsewhere.

Kim Zinszer (Middletown , 2021-01-29)

#58

I want to keep my family safe and keep small town america alive!

JOSHUA TOLBERT (Middletown, 2021-01-29)

#61

There is too much traffic going through town now.

Julia DeBonis (MIDDLETOWN, 2021-01-29)

#63

I’m signing because the infrastructure in this area is already stretched to the limit, with near constant traffic backups. The green space is limited, and this would decrease it even more. With so much space available elsewhere, choosing to cram 119 townhouses into a small, already-stressed area is ludicrous.

Susan Irwin (Middletown, 2021-01-29)

#65

I live in Middletown Crossing which is right next to this proposed development. We are already dealing with traffic nightmares on route 299.

Russell Sands (Middletown, 2021-01-29)

#66

Traffic is already crazy and hard for medic 5 and Middletown fire to get through town as it is

Ryan Wilson (Middletown , 2021-01-29)

#69

I'm signing because of I want to keep Silver lake Park. They cut trees, Y gonna be built and now they wanted to place there houses. We Don't need houses in our historic downtown.

Teodora Marinova (Middletown, Delaware, 2021-01-29)

#71

Not a good spot to shoe horn in ANY dwellings in an extremely tight space, in an already congested area, by a selfish, self serving developer! Awful!

Andrew Degler (Middletown, 2021-01-29)

#72

Too much traffic already going through this little town.

Tim Piser (Middletown, 2021-01-29)

#73

I live in this neighborhood. We can’t handle hundreds of more cars per day than what will be fir school, library, ymca, and park. If anything, Town should have expanded the park. A lot of us walk the area daily. Please reconsider this developer’s plans. Thank you.

Karyn Alexander (MIDDLETOWN, 2021-01-29)

#74

Traffic is already terrible in the area. New Development should wait until after the three main thoroughfares have been completed. (That's the three main travel roads that are purposed to go from Middletown High School through town and across the railroad tracks, coming out near Lowe's).

Once the traffic issue is completely resolved, then I will support more development.

Jeff Gennusa (Middletown, 2021-01-29)

#76

Rt. 299 is already busting at the seems in that small area. The side streets cannot support an excess of traffic either. This can already be viewed when the Little League fields at Silver Lake are in use. The are is congested, there is no parking and it becomes unsafe at times. With the addition of the library and Y facilities it will become a constant problem.

Candice Santoro (Townsend, 2021-01-29)

#78

There is already too much traffic Getting across town and plenty fields else where that can be developed on instead of cramming all those homes into one little area and have traffic backed up for hours just to get across town. It’s already a issue of pot holes in that little stretch imagine adding more vehicles, more wear and tear of the roads that are already going not repaired. Fix the already town we have instead of constantly building new! Finish the projects that are already in motion now!

Tiffany Moulton (Middletown, 2021-01-29)

#80

Middletown Main Street should be kept small.

Leigh Hunt (Middletown, 2021-01-29)

#82

Too much congestion

Mae Stewart (Middletown , De, 2021-01-29)

#84

I have family in the area, and they don’t need more congestion

Rhonda Smith (Elkton, 2021-01-29)

#86

We don't need anymore residential growth on this side of town this is already heavy congested area for traffic. Longtime resident since 1977.

Tammy Elvey (Middletown , 2021-01-29)

#87

I’m tired of the town building in every spot available to them. Myself and my family live right behind where they are building.

Jason Carroll (Middletown , 2021-01-29)

#88

I live on E Green Street & the roads are already backed up with the current population of our town. One lane in, one lane out. The charm & safety of our historic downtown is in jeopardy with this additional development.

Clare Shumate (Middletown, DE, 2021-01-29)

#92

I’m signing because I have lived in this community for 40 years and the growth of MOT is to much to fast. Traffic is horrible and the historic lands of middletown or what’s left with the farmlands needs to be left alone! People that didn’t grow up here just don’t understand we the OG’d don’t want anymore growth!!!!

Tracy Broomall (Townsend, 2021-01-30)

#94

Too many houses!! Too much congestion!!

Nicole Aliberto (Middletown , 2021-01-30)

#95

There is way too much traffic at this point in the town to have over 100 more people living in that area

Jessica Minella (Middletown, 2021-01-30)

#97

Middletown is already overly crowded. The roads cannot handle the traffic that has increased GREATLY in the past 10 years. Middletown is no longer a small town and is becoming a small city without the resources to support it. Please stop the construction and keep whatever charm Middletown has left.

EILEEN Bodnar (Middletown , 2021-01-30)

#98

I grew up in the MOT area, attended the Appo School District for 12 years. It was a wonderful small, farm town and it's been ruined by the grow and traffic pattern. It cannot handle any more growth!!!! It is not fair to the original residents who have lived here their entire lives!!

Donna Alfree (Townsend, DE, 2021-01-30)

#99

I’m signing because my neighborhood, Middletown Crossing will be directly impacted by the addition of not only 119 townhomes but the “ hostile” take over of our green space, to make room for a parking lot overflow! The parking lot overflow should be built in their development not ours. Is ridiculous that the safety and concerns of the people living in Middletown Crossings has been completely ignored.

Helga Nemaric (Middletown , 2021-01-30)

#100

Disgusted with over development

Jacqui Malantonio (Middletown , 2021-01-30)

#103

There are so many other areas in and around Middletown that would be better suited for additional housing. This spot is so congested as it is and that's before the new library and YMCA are completed. Use this land to extend Silver Lake Park instead with much needed community amenities!

Donna Maurer (Townsend, 2021-01-31)

#105

I do not see a benefit to adding additional housing and parking lots so close to the center of town where traffic already bottlenecks & so close to an elementary school. Additionally, it will take up long designated public, baseball, soccer and children's play areas. It's just not right.

Barbara Windett (Middletown , 2021-01-31)

#106

Way too much traffic now on Main St now. This is just going to make people go elsewhere. Businesses will suffer.

Susan Cassidy (Townsend, 2021-01-31)

#113

I'm signing because wedonot need additional townhouses in that area. Traffic is already horrendous. You can not widen Main street. No more construction thete!

Cathy Francisco (Middletown, 2021-02-01)

#114

This is bullshit

Patrick Susi (Middletown , 2021-02-01)

#115

I’m signing because there is plenty of developing Real estate. To add more to Main Street would just add to the already congestion the overcrowded traffic. Residential area should be left to neighborhoods not in commercial property areas.

Heather Douglass (Middletown, 2021-02-01)

#116

I do not think the number of homes being put on the ten acres is appropriate for this area and this close to an elementary school. The increase in traffic that this development would cause in an already congested area is unacceptable.

Georgiana Fennemore (Middletown, 2021-02-01)

#119

299 is already too crowded. We don't need to build on all empty land.

Traci Robinson-mcginnis (Townsend, 2021-02-01)

#120

I'm signing this because I feel our town is over crowded already.

Diana Meekins (Middletown , 2021-02-01)

#123

I'm signing because building another townhome development is the wrong direction.

Anthony DeSantis (Middletown, 2021-02-01)

#126

The traffic is terrible in that location now. With the new YMCA and Library, that area can't handle a development there too. The elementary school is already in existence and causes traffic too. Another area needs to be chosen for the development. Keep that area for rhe Y, Library, School and Post Office.

Stacey Drechsler (Middletown, 2021-02-01)

#130

I live on Main St. near Catherine St. and traffic is and has been bad at rhat light for years PLEASE DON'T DO THIS! There has been times I have sat at the light through many more than 5 cycles to get home from work. Imagine more than 10 minutes to get from post office to that light!

Brenda Rettig (Middletown, 2021-02-01)

#132

No more houses. Middletown is already over developed.

Bryan Moon (Middletown, 2021-02-01)

#137

No additional housing on 299 please!

Lisa Umbel (MIDDLETOWN, 2021-02-01)

#138

Stop building!!!

David Takayama (Middletown, 2021-02-01)

#141

No. I live in town

Lisa Rice (Middletown , 2021-02-01)

#145

I am signing because of the catastrophic impact this many homes in an already overpopulated area will have. Traffic congestion leads to accidents and cost people their lives. Say no to something we can control.

Carla Marisa (Middletown, DE, 2021-02-01)

#147

NO MORE CONSTRUCTION IS NEEDED. OVER POPULATED AS IT IS
