I am signing because this project haven't done any public consultation. The stakeholders in the matters have not been given the opportunity to voice out. The City of Melbourne has not done its due diligence before pushing the project! Stop the project immediately!

I live here and we have done so much to put extra security and everything else to make our neighbourhood safe. I DO NOT WANT HOMELESS PEOPLE AND DRUGGIES AROUND ME ESPECIALLY WHEN IT DOESNT MAKE ME FEEL SAFE TO GO HOME.

Michella Gunawan (Melbourne, 2021-07-08)

This has been done without speaking to residents, owners, businesses within the vicinity and will have a profound affect on Rose Lane.

Jianbin Tan (Melbourne, 2021-07-08)

As a member of Midtown resident, I feel deeply offended that this inappropriate decision has been done without any consideration of the residents, owners, business owners.

Xing Zhai (Melbourne , 2021-07-08)

It will bring adverse impact near our home as it is not right to make a already crowded place even more crowded in the cbd in the midst of COVID !

Pao Chen (Melbourne , 2021-07-08)

My sister live there melbourne post code 3000

I am a owner and resident around the corner and I struggle with walking home at night after work. I was shouted at and physically attacked by a homeless person in the cbd this week. I think another solution to help the homeless without affecting the safety of residents in the area would be better.

Guangshan Pan (Melbourne, 2021-07-08)

I own a property on Rose Lane would not like to see this project commence. I already bump into enough weird people on the laneways especially on the weekends and I cannot imagine that I would still want to live there if the shelter is built.

Adele Wong (Melbourne, 2021-07-08)

My parents live in 38 Rose lane, and I'm worried this will impact their lives.
They have saved up their entire life savings to buy this apartment.
Please do not turn this into a dangerous place

Ian Cheang (Melbourne, 2021-07-08)

#31

I'm signing because I have been living around the area and it has become a nest for crime where you don't feel safe at all.Providing these facilitates will make the area even worse and our investment that we work hard to pay off because of premium prices will be worthless

John Alfaro (Melbourne , 2021-07-08)

#34

I think there are much better/ effective ways.
Businesses will suffer, the number of tourists and patrons will decrease, and Melbourne CBD will become known as the 'slums of the future’

I’m signing this because my two young female ex-wards have just saved enough money to buy in Rose Lane. They will no longer be safe in this area.

Anne Cunningham (Aireys Inlet, 2021-07-08)

#47

It will create problems for the residents and will not solve the homeless problem anyway. Why not take them to shelters already being run by charities? You’re just creating a new problem in a part of the city that doesn’t have this problem.

Ken Kam (Oakleigh, 2021-07-08)

#55

It’s unfair to the residents living close by!

why create a homeless shelter in the middle of a residential place. It does not help solving homeless problem. You are creating problems for the residents. It makes the neighborhoods unsafe, especially in the night. Think about single females living in the area.

Fong Lam (Huntingdale , 2021-07-08)

#61

It will make Rose lane unsafe

Binod Garg (Melbourne, 2021-07-08)

That’s not safe and not fair for us living right next to our community :( those people tried to follow us to get into our apartment in different level and try to get into our home. We were ask police for help in few times!!! I cannot image how it will be if them live next to us!!

Miko Huang (Melbourne , 2021-07-08)

We are not consulted on the plans. It is affecting our property.

eunyoung Chi (Melbourne, 2021-07-08)

One of the best locations in Melbourne CBD - To become another social housing project ?!! This has not been thought through, nor has been done with consultation of local businesses and homeowners. As an apartment owner who would have this on their doorstep, I am in strong opposition to this.

David Myers (Melbourne, 2021-07-08)

#76

It is very unsafe for us to walk in Rose Lane due to all the druggies and homeless people using drugs and injection on our street. Every morning a lot of broken glass bottles and used injections are on street. So unsafe already to use our alley to get to Bourke street. This step is so unreasonable for us working so hard paying taxes so we can afford a nice place and now Government is imposing this decision on us. So frustrating.

Shabila Shaheen (Melbourne , 2021-07-08)

I’m afraid for my safety and the general degradation of the area of this facility is opened.

Chris Huntly (Southbank, 2021-07-08)

#83

I do not accept this project! It will make the people here not safe. We spent a lot of money to buy the apartment and live here. It cannot be done without the approval of residents around Rose Lane. Why Melbourne mayor doesn’t take these homeless people near to your own house ?

YIJIA LI (Melbourne, 2021-07-08)

#90

The council is making decisions affecting our neighborhood without even at least considering and consulting the residents living in the area. This project can’t happen!!!! THIS A SAFETY ISSUE!!!! Look at what’s happening at the Ibis hotel on king st, fighting, shooting, drunkards, police attending everyday.Consult residents before making decisions this is DEMOCRACY

Rodolphe Gonnet (Melbourne , 2021-07-08)

#95

It is not the right place and it will de-value the property and also we want safe and clean neighborhood around upper west side and southern cross area

Arif Wong (Melbourne, 2021-07-08)

#97

I’m signing because I am resident of Rose
Lane and I will be affected by city council decision to create a homeless shelter at 602 Little Bourke St.
This has been done without consulting to the residents around the area despite this action will affect the residents. This homeless shelter will increase crime rate, drug dealer and make Rose Lane more prone to criminal activities.
This decision will definitely decimate the reputation of Melbourne CBD.

Thomas Ardhy (Melbourne, 2021-07-08)

Stupid decision maker, please take homeless to your own home, not mine

Rugang Yao (Melbourne, 2021-07-08)

#107

This council has no respect for the people who live around the area.

This has been done without speaking to the residents. What compensation and insurance can you promise us if it deteriorates the neighbourhood? If you can't offer anything, You can sod off.

Don't cross the line, and we won't cross yours.

Daniel K (Melbourne, 2021-07-08)

I live in 38 Rose Lane, next to the proposal, and my apartment was robbed (Burglary) last year. In Rose Ln the police often deal with issues already. I believe there are too many new residential homes nearby for this. More can be achieved to assist the homeless by a sale of that building. Aren't the Buildings near 330 Dudley street or Laurens Street W.Melbourne better positioned?

Damian Jeffrey (Melbourne , 2021-07-08)

#113

This project will do harm to the local community and make it unsafe.

Ying Xiang (Melbourne , 2021-07-08)

#119

I am signing because I own an apartment on Rose Lane. Living in the city, I know how unpleasant and dangerous it can feel to walk past groups of homeless people after they were housed in a hotel during lockdown last year, I don't want my home to become a place where I feel unsafe.

I live in Rose lane apartment for 2 years. In my first year, the lane was noisy and always had drunkards yelling about in the middle of the night. Building the shelter here is not solving the homelessness issue at all, it’s creating a new problem for us residents living here. There’s only so much that we can do to protect and prevent crimes from happening if this pushes through.
Please, I want to feel safe when I get home.

Niki Tan (Melbourne, 2021-07-08)

#150

The homeless shelter will significantly affect our routine life, commuting and safety, and I do not support it.

Charles Meng (Melbourne, 2021-07-08)

#154

There should be no safety problems in the cbd and the council should take care of it.
Please also review them on google - such anti- people practicing is not acceptable and will will push the nasty council back

We don’t want see all the weird druggy.
It’s not safe at all.

Hyungyou Kim (Melbourne , 2021-07-08)

#157

This is an incredibly inconsiderate, disrespectful and downright outrageous move by the council. To think they can plop a group of people next to families, students and working professionals without consulting and with so little notice just shows how they do not deserve the next vote.

Dominique Ituram (Melbourne, 2021-07-08)

#168

I'm the owner of and resident in an apartment in the adjacent building, and really concerned about the safety and hygiene issues that the area already has. Very disappointed that the local & state governments are dumping more issues instead of resolving.

Disagree the Make Room Project. As resident in 11 Rose lane, Midtown, I strongly against make room project. In recent years we have suffered untidy streets in front of doorway, shouting noises in the middle of the night, broken glasses. This project will only accelerate those behaviors. This has to be stopped. We deserve a better Melbourne CBD.

Wang Tuo (Melbourne, 2021-07-09)

#187

This is no way we will allow this happen to Rose Lane. This is destroy the whole neighbor. I even request an audit about where our council fee had been used.
