We are regular visitors to the Sunshine Coast and our family regularly play on the free court … when available. A second would be amazing.

Warwick Milne (Centenary Heights, 2021-08-11)

#2

We need more courts at the northern end of the Sunshine Coast. The Olympics are coming, what better time to add another court and utilize the space for the VB stars of tomorrow. And nice for the old locals to have a knock around too !

Laura Williams (Peregian Beach , 2021-08-11)

#3

I'm a player. Wish to partaake - no courts available

David Bertram (Urangan, 2021-08-11)

#5

I'm signing because we are regular beach volleyball junior players and it would tidy up the beach front

Chase Paterson (Narangba, 2021-08-11)

#7

There is lots of demand and there will be minimal impact on the beach environment.

Mitch Driver (Alexandra Headland, 2021-08-11)

#11

It's a great idea. I feel for the vegetation, but it's really just a small area. People at Coolum love the court and second one would be really appreciated.

Lukas Guckt (Coolum Beach, 2021-08-11)

#15

I would personally benefit from a second court at Coolum beach as I use the one that’s there often, sometimes it is unavailable

Amanda Kruger (Torquay, 2021-08-12)

#20

Good for the community

Carlos Vanselow (Noosaville, 2021-08-12)

#23

I'm signing this because a more perfect little pocket of beach for a community beach volleyball facility can't be found on the Sunshine Coast. 1 court just isn't enough and the presence of the beach volleyball community would add SOOO much to this little corner of Coolum Beach.

Peter Jones (Coolum, 2021-08-12)

#25

This is a fantastic community initiative with well thought out processes to preserve the existing environment.

Melanie Bauer-Ludbey (Aspley, 2021-08-12)

#26

Great for the area and will bring players from Brisbane and the Gold Coast up to the sunshine coast

Dan Carey (Brisbane, 2021-08-12)

#28

This provides an important community service

Sue Lawrie (Palmwoods, 2021-08-12)

#30

I believe that an additional court in the preferred location would be an asset. It would be respectfully utilised by a growing number of beach volleyball players on the Sunshine Coast and beyond. The growing community involvement would ensure the benefits of such a change would far outweigh any concerns that council may have. Although I am sure these concerns would be dealt with in a productive and mutually beneficial manner.

Leisa McKenzie (Palmview, 2021-08-12)

#31

This is a perfect location for a second court. The opportunities to come out and Have a Go are limited in the area, and this will provide an excellent opportunity for more activity and social interaction in the area.

Darren Grimsey (North Lakes, 2021-08-12)

#34

Coolum is a lovely spot, beach volleyball is incredibly popular in Queensland and we need more courts!

Luke Wells (Mackay, 2021-08-12)

#37

We need more free Beach Volleyball Courts, promote our Sport to all

Linley Scholes (Gold Coast, 2021-08-12)

#38

It’s critical to expand the availability of courts at Coolum to support the growth of the sport and to make the sport accessible to more of the community. A second court is essential and the team at SCBV have a proven record or protecting the local environment and sharing the beach.

Alistair Roberts (Brisbane, 2021-08-12)

#42

I’m signing as a current infrequent user of the current Coolum court.
Australia should be a leader in BV but there are far too few courts for people to practice.
The location is excellent too.

Peter Thurmer (Tewantin, 2021-08-12)

#47

Australia needs more Beach Volleyball courts!!

Chrystal Murphy (Gold Coast, 2021-08-12)

#48

I think beach volleyball should be free and available to the public, it is a great sport and promotes a healthy and active lifestyle.

#50

Son plays a lot.... every day

Kerrin Dryburgh (Mooloolaba , 2021-08-12)

#52

We need more beach volleyball courts on public beaches. Aussie girls just won a silver medal at the Olympics, the sport of beach volleyball is growing.

Trent Clarke (Gold Coast, 2021-08-12)

#53

I’m signing because it makes sense.

Brenden Turner (Carina Heights, 2021-08-12)

#54

I’m signing because the community constantly use 1 court and we can therefore easily justify the use of a second court in the same location. It was not the grass that held the sand in place lAst storm season, but the fact that the water did not get high enough to take it.

Cam Bettenay (Coolum Beach, 2021-08-12)

#57

I am a volleyball player and use the coolum court quiet often

Alf Schneps (Sunshine Beach, 2021-08-12)

Bianca Edgar (Melbourne , 2021-08-12)

#73

I like to play on the courts when visiting the area. Thanks

Bo Soderberg (Hawthorndene, 2021-08-12)

#76

There are not enough public courts for junior and senior athletes to play our beautiful sport. And as it will be on show at the Brisbane olympics let’s build more spaces for the sport to thrive!

Patricia Corlett (Brisbane, 2021-08-12)

#81

This is a great opportunity for the community to get a great coach and learn the beach volleyball game for all ages. I highly encourage the 2nd beach volleyball court and partake in all of
Peter Jones professional coaching opportunities.

Steve Rogers (Felton , 2021-08-13)

#84

I am signing because I think another public volley ball court would be a great incentive for beach goers to do some exercise. It will add value to coolums beach. P

Anna Guenkel (Maroochydore, 2021-08-13)

#85

We need more outdoor sport options and beach volleyball training on the north sunny cost

Allisen Bishop (mountain creek , 2021-08-13)

Bernard Jean (Tewantin, 2021-08-13)

Jules G (Verrierdale, 2021-08-13)

For friends enjoyment and fitness

Grant Bligh (Elanora, 2021-08-14)

I believe a second court in Coolum is beneficial for the local community.

Samuel Williamson (The Sunshine Coast, 2021-08-15)

I love beach volleyball as a competitive player and coach. our sport is growing rapidly, and we need more courts around the country for people to train and for the community to enjoy.

Alice Rohkamper (Sydney, 2021-08-15)

#103

One court in this location isn't enough considering the local level of interest in the sport.

Ali Fenton (Hampton, 2021-08-15)

#106

I love Volleyball and I believe this second court will bring valuable resources and a fun time to the community.

Nick Haneveld (Twin Waters, 2021-08-15)

#107

The Sunny Coast is the perfect place to play beach volleyball.
The Olympics have just finished & Australia was well represented in the beach volleyball. I have no doubt there’ll be an increased interest in beach volleyball & a second court will be an absolute asset to the Sunny Coast.

Jodie Nitschke (Gold Coast, 2021-08-15)

#120

We need another court in Coolum to begin a volleyball competition!

Samantha Hancock (Mount Coolum, 2021-08-18)

#122

With such growth on the sunshine coast and with volleyball being such a strong community sport we need as many courts as we can get for fun, training, and personal growth

Tayne stuart (Pacific paradiae, 2021-08-18)

#124

Live locally. Really want to see second court so we can have comps etc.

I'm signing because Volleyball is an awesome sport that brings people together to enjoy the outdoors, sun, sand and exercise.....whether its competitive or just to socialise with like minded people.

Cameron Edwards (Perth, 2021-08-23)

#147

I’m signing because I have spent countless of hours at the court that is there now, and I’m always so devastated when someone else is using it. So would be great with a 2nd one.

Emil Højland Jørgensen (Marcoola, 2021-08-23)

#150

I'm signing because I see the need for an additional volleyball court at Coolum beach. Whenever I have been at Coolum on the weekend there have been different groups of people waiting to use the court. An area to sit/watch/socialise will be great to get the volleyball community together

Christine Goronczy (Mainbeach, 2021-08-24)

#152

Knowing the beach volleyball community on the Sunshine Coast this court will get used and be another great addition to the coolum arra

Chris Burns (Melbourne , 2021-08-24)

#157

Would be awesome to grow the sport of beach volleyball!! And allow more people to play and train at one time. I am an elite athlete who is aiming for 2032 Olympic Representation at the Brisbane Games and I train a lot at Coolum Beach. Sometimes when I come down to train, the court is full with social players - which is great, but then I am unable to train. This second court would provide myself and others, more of an opportunity to push towards goals and enjoy the sport in Coolum!

Caitlin Bettenay (Coolum, 2021-08-24)

#160

Volleyball is an incredibly healthy sport, creates great community & everyone should have the opportunity to join in.

Because beach volleyball is an inclusive, healthy sport for both genders across a wide age range.

Tony Hampton (Pennyroyal, 2021-08-25)

#179

This court has seen a huge increase in usage and we want to ensure we cater for grassroot involvement as well as support our local stars to get to Brisbane 2032

Nathan McLeod (Pt Noarlunga South, 2021-08-26)

#187

I fully support a second court to be installers at Coolum.
Beach volleyball is a growing sport and lots to offer the community with health, wellbeing and deserves the sponsorship and funding of other sports.
Volleyball nets and set-ups in the outdoor is vital for youth and training and has heightened focus since the Olympics and lucky to have exceptional coaching staff available in Coolum.

Eamonn Hart (Melbourne , 2021-08-29)

#189

We need a second court at Coolum Beach.

Tye Cotter (Tewantin, 2021-08-30)

I would love to see a second court in Coolum, as well as I would love to see a couple cpurts even closer to Noosa! It brings joy, social opportunities and exercise to so many ppl. It's also a sport that the whole family can play together, gets ppl active outdoors and it's a sport that's a lot safer than many other sports.

Nina Richmond (Noosaville , 2021-08-31)

I want to see more courts available for the public use at beaches
