State University of New York COVID-19 Booster Mandate
#401There shouldn't be any mandates aspecially since these boosters are not fully FDA approved
Gregory Khitrov (ARDSLEY, 2022-01-17)
#404These are not vaccines they are experimental gene therapies
Kathryn Anderson (NEWFANE, 2022-01-17)
#409I'm signing this petition because I have two children attending SUNY Buffalo. There is no need for this booster mandate. We just had COVID, it was mild, and we now all have natural immunity. My son is 18 years old and does not need to the risk of myocarditis, which is lifelong and would adversely affect his quality of life. My daughter also now has natural immunity, her COVID illness was very mild, and she is fully recovered.
I'm signing this petition because of all the facts stated in this letter. These vaccines do not stop the spread of COVID, they do not stop the illness of COVID. COVID is mutating, the Omicron variant does not settle deeply in the lungs as the initial COVID virus and the Delta variant did. These kids do not need to continue this vaccine. Stop this mandate!
Lisa Rizzo (Phelps, 2022-01-17)
#412There is no need for mandates, vaccinated people are still getting Covid.
Brooke Mueller (New Rochelle , 2022-01-17)
#415I’m signing b/c I do not believe anyone should be forced to take a booster or any shot for that matter!! What happen to our own rights?!
Kristen Sasso (Oceanside, 2022-01-17)
#417I strongly believe the facts written in this petition.
Beth Servidio (Staten Island , 2022-01-17)
Kalinowski Kathy (Lancaster, 2022-01-17)
#419You can still catch and spread covid with the vaccine and with the boosters. It should not be mandatory to attend school.
Gina DeMartino (Washingtonville , 2022-01-17)
Karen Edwards (Lindenhurst , 2022-01-17)
#421The booster shots have been proven to be ineffective against any variants of the corona virus. This age group has a negligible threat of death from this virus. The risk of damage and death from the inoculation is greater than the risk of death or damage from the virus.
Anne Chew (Brighton, 2022-01-17)
#422I am signing because I am concerned that my son will receive 3 shots in not even a year.
He had Covid last December!
Denise Depalo (Patchogue, 2022-01-17)
#423It’s the right thing to do
Joann Schiavo (Deer Park , 2022-01-17)
#424Boosters are hurting our children-have NOT stopped spread- MANY MANY MANY have NATURAL IMMUNITY!
Maureen Conners (Sayville, 2022-01-17)
#426This should be a choice not a mandate!!!
Stephanie Ricottone (OCEANSIDE, 2022-01-17)
Elissa Henke (Sound Beach, 2022-01-17)
#432The science does not support the idea of boosting all the students they can still get it and give it no matter how many boosters you have. This is an over reach of power.
Dan Valenza (Hauppauge, 2022-01-17)
#435Vaccines do not work. Taking an additional shot does not prevent the spread of COVID.
Anthony Iemma (Bethpage, 2022-01-17)
#436This is not FDA approved. The vaccines are more risky to take than getting the virus. My child had Covid. We don’t know long term effects.
Michelle Iemma (Bethpage , 2022-01-17)
#440Boosters should not be needed in young healthy kids who are already at very low risk and additional shots potentially pose more harm than good. Thank You!
Trent Hinshaw (Oswego, IL, 2022-01-17)
#443I do not want my child to have a booster. There have been way to many issues with bad side effects. This has become all political and disgusting to use people as pawns
Debra Walker (North Bellmore, 2022-01-17)
#446College students don’t need a booster.
Stephen Brandofino (Staten Island , 2022-01-17)
#447Enough is enough
Darlene Caporusso (Babylon, 2022-01-17)
#449The vaccination is enough! People who have been Boosted are still getting covid.
Dana Mauro (South Hempstead , 2022-01-17)
#453This affects my Grandchildren
Donna Prezioso (Mechanicville, 2022-01-17)
#454The vaccines do not work and they are potentially dangerous to young people who are healthy. There is no data concerning the future issues from taking this experimental “vaccine”.
Janet Triolo (Huntington Station Ny 11746, 2022-01-17)
#459I’m signing because vaccinations should not be mandatory. With or without the vaccination makes no difference in the health and well being of the students on campus. Stop the authoritarian policies and stick with teaching. That’s what we’re paying for. I will look out for my child’s health.
L U (East northport, 2022-01-17)
#460Disgrace on what this country is trying to do!!!
Patty Mango (Mahopac , 2022-01-17)
#461I am a parent
Debbie Cassidy (Wading River , 2022-01-17)
#462I don't believe my children need a booster on a vaccine that they received and then got covid anyway.
Kathleen Vetrano (Islip Terrace, 2022-01-17)
#463It is wrong to required me to put something into my body that I am not comfortable in order to have a good future and education when the vaccine has only been out for a short amount of time. Once it’s been out for a few years that is understandable but that is not the case here.
Cassandra Bayles (Selden , 2022-01-17)
#468I believe in Freedom, NOT mandates!
Joanna Lederman (Elmsford, 2022-01-17)
#474I don't believe SUNY students need a booster and aren't in danger from the coronavirus.
Sullivan Jennifer (Colden , 2022-01-17)
#485The booster should be the choice of the student, not the state.
Nicole Palitti (Blauvelt, 2022-01-17)
#487As a NY resident, and having in the past considered enrolling in SUNY, I am appalled at the arrogance and ignorance of SUNY administrators and trustees. They are ignoring crucial scientific evidence against the measures they are unlawfully enforcing. They are breaking a long list of laws and sooner or later will be held accountable for it. I pray they will come to their senses, correct their stance and stand on the right side of history.
Gabriela Munoz (Dobbs Ferry, 2022-01-17)
#488I’m signing this petition in hopes that the push of theses mandates, the push of these boosters which is now is completely out of control stops! I know dozens of people that were forced to get the vaccine or they would’ve lost their job or been kicked out of school. Now we have to deal with boosters? It is not stopping the spread of Covid! Stop this madness and stop these mandates! We do not know the long term affects of any of this. It’s still under trial! we shouldn’t be forcing anyone to take anything in this day and age!
Lisa Gasparini (Seaford , 2022-01-17)
#489The science does not justify the continuation of this vaccine booster. This age group has a higher risk of myocarditis than severe Covid. There is no sane reason for giving this age group a booster that has not had full clinical studies to objectively support the continuation of boosters in this age group. My heart breaks for ANY student that will have heart issues or any other issues due to this mandate. The current strain should not even have us under a a STate of emergency , if Hochel did not keep us in State of emergency she would not be able to mandate this. There should be many lawsuits if this is not stopped!!!
Karen Alessio (Smithtown, 2022-01-17)
#491When you make a cookie cutter approach towards humanity it always fails. We are wonderfully unique individuals with the God given right for choice. Mandates attempts to disempower the public. There is a tremendous potential negative backlash. The health effects could be possibly felt for generations. It would be prudent to approach carefully as the cure may be worse than the disease. Please consider your intensions for if you are wrong, you will find yourselves facing public litigation.
James Guerci (NANUET, 2022-01-17)
#492I believe in freedom from mandates and believe in personal choice!
Joe DeStefano (Medford, 2022-01-17)
#493Don’t believe the vaccine is completely safe, completely works or is completely necessary.
Bernadette Schock (Massapequa , 2022-01-17)
#496Many reasons but I would rather have my son go elsewhere than be forced to take a booster to finish his last 2 semesters at SUNY.
Diane Holland (West Nyack, 2022-01-17)
#497This is a dangerous mandate that may result in harming the students. Healthy young adults do not require boosters for a virus that they can easily get over. Boosters should be reserved for the elderly and immunocompromised.
Nora Scotti (Valley Cottage, 2022-01-17)
#499I don’t believe boosters should be mandated. The data is showing that they do not make any difference in the spread of covid.
Jennifer Ekizian (New City, 2022-01-17)
#503My daughter just recovered from Covid so a booster is not necessary. SUNY students have already been vaccinated to attend online classes this past semester. Mandated boosters should not be required given the diminished efficacy of these vaccines and the risk of pericarditis in young people who take them. Moreover, the available vaccines in our community are not fully FDA approved and it is unconstitutional to mandate students to take experimental vaccinations.
Christine Edwards (Holtsville, 2022-01-17)
#514I am concerned about the impact of vaccine mandates on the health and freedom of our people especially the younger generations.
AnnaLisa Pastore (Harrington Park, 2022-01-17)
Theodore Granger - SCCC
Harrison Granger - SUNY Stonybrook
Spears Sandra (Port Jefferson Station, 2022-01-17)
#516The vaccine shouldn’t have been mandated to begin with..now the booster?! Ridiculous. No one should ever have to be put in a position like this. Either get something that can potentially cause god knows what kind of illness/complications or get a degree to have a better life? Absolutely ridiculous.
Chris Anderson (Medford, 2022-01-17)
#518Mandates are ILLEGAL! The shot is an EXPERIMENT!
ROBIN IMBARRATO (Middletown, 2022-01-17)
#522The vaccines are not necessary and are more life threatening than covid for college students.
Lisa Abbott-Cisco (Penfield, 2022-01-17)
#526Stop this mandate, many of these kids have already had the virus and very recently. There are risks for these young people…. Do not force this!
Brigit Noto (Smithtown, 2022-01-17)
#529It is wrong to force not 1, not 2 but 3 shots on kids when they don’t want it or need it!! It is over reach and needs to stop!
Cheryl Rera (Smithtown, 2022-01-17)
#535Where there is risk, there must be choice.
Wendy Rogers (Wilmington, 2022-01-17)
#539I am against forced vaccines and mandates.
Lori Kelly (Bethpage , 2022-01-17)
#543My son, a third year student could not attend StonyBrook due to vaccine mandate.
Lorraine Cantori (Hartsdale, 2022-01-17)
#550I do not believe in mandates. Let the kids learn and choose!
Juliet Hahn (Remsenburg , 2022-01-17)
#556Covid vaccines are very dangerous and are also unnecessary in this age population. Additionally I have serious religious concerns about these vaccines and about the situation surrounding their mandatory application.
Rachel Chaput (Chester, 2022-01-17)
#559I have religious and health objections to mandates or coerced vaccinations or medical procedures or any kind. Our country was founded ny our ancestors who fled the king's tyranny and oppression, to build a new country based on life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness, and these mandates and coercive approaches are completely un-american, unconstitutional and immoral.
Kimiko Link (New Paltz, 2022-01-17)
#561It is wrong to require people to take an experimental vaccine and you KNOW this. You are killing people and you KNOW this
Jennifer Wyman (Livingston Manor, 2022-01-17)
#563The CDC has collected over a million adverse reactions to the current COVID-19 vaccines, including over 20,000 deaths. As our country’s vaccine numbers rise, so do our COVID-19 cases. The vaccines are not stopping the spread of the virus. They are experimental, ineffective and can be dangerous to some. To mandate an invasive procedure on your student body is unethical. Who will be liable for long-term harm? You are also discriminating against black people, as only about 25% of black people have chosen to be vaccinated. Are you willing to have a public institution uphold racial as well as medical segregation? For shame!
Jennifer McIsaac (Craryville,NY, 2022-01-17)
#570The risks of the vaccine outweigh the benefits for a healthy 20 year old who has already been vaccinated. Boosters don’t work!
Mary Aronica (Clarence , 2022-01-17)
#572Vaccine mandates are unconstitutional!
Susan Camera (Rockville Centre, 2022-01-17)
#577I oppose mask and vaccine mandates
Elizabeth Scoville (Glens Falls, 2022-01-17)
#578The students should be given a choice. This is a very low risk population.
Angelia Ryan (Albany, 2022-01-17)
#582These mandates are unconstitutional and students should not be forced to choose between a medical procedure and their education!
Lisa Browne (East Northport , 2022-01-17)
#584These mandates are out of control. This needs to end.
Carmela Frias (Ballston spa, 2022-01-17)
Joseph Cantori (Hartsdale, 2022-01-17)
#594My son is 18 and I am terrified that this unnecessary booster will cause him great harm.
Rita Schineis (East Yaphank, 2022-01-17)
#598Im.signi g because there should not be a mandate for the covid vaccines
Robin Vasil (Troy, 2022-01-17)
#599I'm signing are a retired employee and the parent of a student.
