END SCHOOL MASK MANDATES FOR NK STUDENTS

Comments

#1

The kids have shouldered the burden of the pandemic for too long- It is time to free their faces and allow families an opportunity to make decisions that are best for their children

kim LANOWY (NORTH KINGSTOWN, 2022-02-06)

#10

My kids are being harmed socially

Hilary Ellis (East Greenwich , 2022-02-06)

#12

My daughter attends the NK High School

Ernest Frizzle (East Greenwich, 2022-02-06)

#19

I’m signing because it is time our students get back to learning without the burden of a mask.

Kara Martone (saunderstown, 2022-02-07)

#22

Masks should be optional

Rebecca Campbell (North Kingstown , 2022-02-07)

#24

Masks are not working not only do they do absolutely nothing they are harming our children !
Risking our children’s learning abilities for Covid Cash - Do something!! NO MORE MASKS

Rebecca Denicola (Saunderstown, 2022-02-07)

#26

Enough. There is no reason for the younger population to have any fear of this virus. Let’s not destroy our youth

Laura Dempsey (North Kingstown , 2022-02-07)

#27

The mandate is ridiculous. Show some backbone! And some brains!!

Beth Ross (Saunderstown, 2022-02-07)

#28

Masking our children is significantly more harmful to our children then "threat" of covid to them. UNMASK OUR CHILDREN!

Bridgette Ziari (North Kingstown, 2022-02-07)

#29

I care about children. I pulled my children from NK schools due to the mask policy. The RI Superior Court found recently, after RIDOH and others testified, that irreparable harm has been done to RI children DUE TO masking in school.

Courtney Goglia (North Kingstown , 2022-02-07)

#34

Enough is enough

Lisa Windham (North Kingstown, 2022-02-07)

#35

Just got back from a basketball tournament in nj with about 2000 kids and 4000 adults
Not a mask in the place
The mandates are ridiculous

Eric Broomfield (Warwick, 2022-02-07)

#43

Clearly is not necessary. We are destroying you youth! NK Schools should focus on the important items; math, reading, writing, sciences, history, etc.

Jeffrey Wadovick (North Kingstown, 2022-02-07)

#44

They are stringent to their ability to learn. Give children the same choices as adults, take the burden of an adults fear off the backs of our kids.

Jacqueline Healy (Newport , 2022-02-07)

#45

It has been 2 years now since the start of this pandemic, and I myself don't wear a mask and if I go into a store it's never on right. I have yet to contract this virus. It is more important to wash and sanitize your hands.

Tom Shaeffer (North kingstown, 2022-02-07)

#49

Make this a choice for parents to choose what is best for their own child.

Amy Raymond (North Kingstown, 2022-02-07)

#58

Ending of mask mansates

Donna Burgoyne (Riverside , 2022-02-07)

#59

End the mask mandates. It’s time.

Cyndy Bjorn (Saunderstown , 2022-02-07)

#60

Sick of the mandates.

Ramona Bessinger (jamestown, 2022-02-07)

#62

Masking our/my child(ren) has and will continue to cause social, mental and medical harm. They are continuing to carry the burden of this pandemic when all the necessary tools to fight this virus are now available to all - vaccines, treatments, education and masking if you so choose.

Erica Davies (North Kingstown, 2022-02-07)

#65

There are zero reasons for our kids to be wearing masks all day. The people forcing our children to wear masks all day don’t wear masks all day themselves. It’s complete nonsense and needs to end immediately.

Brian Carlson (North Kingstown, 2022-02-07)

#69

My daughter attends NKHS through the CTE program, even though we live in EG. It’s time to remove masks or, at the least, make it a CHOICE to wear a mask. Anyone who’s wants to get a vaccine should have by now. Most of us have already had COVID anyway. If you’re immune compromised, continue to mask up if that makes you feel better. Life must go back to some kind of normal! Unmask our Kids!

Aimee Casagrande (East Greenwich, 2022-02-07)

#75

The mandate is ridiculous and does not work.

John Litsinger (North Kingstown, 2022-02-07)

#87

So many reasons. This needs to end

Chabot Tara (North Kingstown, 2022-02-08)

#88

I am a parent of a student in the NK school system and I want to have the choice to mask or not. I agree with the facts and sentiments expressed in this petition.

Lindsay Fair (Saunderstown, 2022-02-08)

#91

Parents can choose what's best for their kids.

Michael Coleman (North kingstown, 2022-02-08)

#93

I’m signing because our kids mental health is way important than masks that don’t do anything.

Susan Paul (North Kingstown, 2022-02-08)

#96

End the mask mandate for students now!

Darren Sullivan (North Kingstown, 2022-02-08)

#97

These kids need to return to some normalcy.

Kerri Rogers (East Greenwich , 2022-02-08)

#98

Children are unfairly bearing the burden of these rules. Give parents back the freedom of choice.

Edward Tally (Saunderstown, 2022-02-08)

#101

Because the government sucks, and they think they can just take our freedom away like nothing but some of us are willing to fight back.

Bryan Lepore (Wakefield , 2022-02-08)

#102

No prove that masks are really effective

Elsie du Toit (Flamwood, Klerksdorp, 2022-02-08)

#103

Science is showing the masks to be doing more harm than good to school age kids. The time for wearing masks has passed.

Matthew Ryan (North Kingstown, 2022-02-08)

#104

Enough is enough!

Melissa Petrangelo (North Kingstown , 2022-02-08)

#106

I feel strongly that the negative affect of mandating masks on children far outweighs any positive benefits to society and it has come time to end the policy.

Matt Fair (North Kingstown, 2022-02-08)

#108

Cause our admins on all levels have lost their minds!

Michael Reposa (North Kingstown, 2022-02-08)

#111

kids hang out outside of school and party with no masks on. people are so sick of wearing them that they wear them improperly. there's no use. mental health is suffering, and people NEED to get over this fear. those that are vaccinated are protected. there's no need for this.

alexa johnsen (north kingstown, 2022-02-08)

#114

I have 3 young elementary aged children in the NK school system. The masks need to come off! We are hurting our children and their development... enough is enough!

Stephanie Tally (Saunderstown, 2022-02-08)

#118

I work at North Kingstown schools and this needs to end.

Marina Ferrucci (South Kingstown, 2022-02-08)

#123

Every single control group randomized study has shown that these masks don't work! (7 of them)This is absolutely ridiculous. anybody with half a brain would realize this. Our kids are being robbed of their childhood and Humanity by wearing these muzzles! End it now!

Gregory Snow (North Kingstown , 2022-02-08)

#124

I have three children and enough is enough, we are in the Endemic stage of COVID and this is about selective following of science

3rd grader Hamilton Elementary
7th grader Wickford Midden School
11th grader NKHS

Jason Lafferty (Saunderstown, 2022-02-08)

#126

My children are vaccinated!

Natashia Bertrand (North Kingstown, 2022-02-08)

#134

It's time to have our kids return to a normal environment. Follow the science. The masks need to go.

Penny Bush (JAMESTOWN, 2022-02-08)

#135

I believe these students should be able to attend classes mask free and try to get back on track on how far behind this pandemic has put them all academically and emotionally.

Sheila Frank (Saunderstown, 2022-02-08)

#137

Enough is enough. With the vaccines here it’s time to start treating this like the flu. Don’t get me wrong I agree Covid is serious, however we are in a different phase now!

Debra Gallucci (North Kingstown , 2022-02-08)

#138

Masks are done. Let the children get back to normal.

Dina Bogosian (North Kingstown , 2022-02-08)

#139

I am signing to ask that the NK School committee remove mask mandated for all kids and allow it to be a choice and Allow children to talk at lunch again.

Julie Patricia (North Kingstown, 2022-02-09)

#142

I’m signing because the madness needs to end.

Cathy Kupa (North Kingstown , 2022-02-09)

#143

I firmly support the unmasking of our children!

Lauren Howard (Saunderstown , 2022-02-09)

#144

Although my children no longer attend the north kingstown schools, our friends still do. Covid never posed a threat to children. Masking does not protect our children. It's time to stop the nonsense. Unmask our children!

Dawn Lussier (Exeter, 2022-02-09)

#147

It is beyond time to unmask our children. They are the lowest categorical risk, the damage done from masks far out weighs the benefits and everyone has been given ample time to take the precautions and been given resources to protect themselves and their families. Parent choice! Let us decide what is best for our children!

Crystal Harris (Saunderstown , 2022-02-09)

#154

I'm signing because masking is ineffective and is detrimental to our children. Masking should be parental choice, if we still live in a free country.

Erik Miller (North Kingstown, 2022-02-09)

#160

Enough is enough !!! My autistic son is on his third quarantine since Christmas and has missed hours of services that are owed to him (speech, ot) and do to
Him not being able tolerate a mask
For more than 6 hrs has a longer quarantine!!!! I feel it’s a discrimination against children with any type of disability and I strongly disagree that a child that any child should be punished for not wearing the mask incorrectly!!! The cloth masks are absolutely useless !!! So
Let’s move on !!!

Michelle Lovitz (North Kingstown, 2022-02-09)

#168

No masks!!!! Not needed

Ellen Gabriel (Warwick, 2022-02-10)

#176

I do not want a mask mandate in school

Lucy Poulin (North Kingstown, 2022-02-10)

#180

It is well past time to:
1. Pretend we can stop the spread of COVID. 1/3rd of RI has already tested positive with hundreds more each day.
2. Putting almost the entire burden for COVID on children, who are at lowest risk. Suicide is a.uch bigger risk and continued social isolation doesn't help that. Adults are supposed to protect children- not the other way around.
3. Politicizing children and their mental and physical well being.

Follow the real science and stop the insanity now.

Steve Raymond (North Kingstown , 2022-02-10)

#185

I want my 5 year old and 2 year old to have normal, happy school experiences. If this doesnt pass we are moving.

Erica Kirwan Harris (Saunderstown , 2022-02-10)

#190

Politics need to be removed from schools, all of your virtue signaling with mask mandates has done nothing but harm children.

Regina Noponen (North Kingstown , 2022-02-10)

#197

Other states have had no masking and there are no reports of terrible consequences. If mask wearing does not end we will have to leave the school/state.

Iris Miller (North kingstown, RI, 2022-02-10)

#199

Masking our children is abuse. This intervention proved worthless after 2+ years and yet we continued. Masking and keeping children in fearful states towards germs and safety. May we learn from this and never met this happen again.

Melody Rice (North Kingstown , 2022-02-10)

#200

Let’s Go Brandon!!!
