We were promised our present health care. A secret deal made several years ago with the previous mayor was deplorable. Balancing the budget on the backs of retirees, is shameful.

Cheryl Rosen (Bayside, 2022-03-13)

#403

I want to keep my Traditional Medicare.

Diane Carrillo (New York, 2022-03-13)

I am pleading with the mayor not to appeal Judge Frank’s decision!and to give us retirees a choice of medical plans.

Deanna Bayens (Darien, Illinois , 2022-03-13)

#409

I'm signing this because we depend on NYC to protect us. We have served the city faithfully.

Susan Samtur (Scarsdale, 2022-03-13)

#413

I am signing this petition because I want to keep my health plan that I am entitled to that I was told I was going to have when I retired And I am definitely not happy with the new plan that they are asking us to take.

Rita Giordano-Lombardi (Wappingers Falls, 2022-03-13)

#415

I want to keep the Medicare/Senior Care with the coverage I was Promised when I retired which was for free medical benefits.

Kathleen Parent (Bellerose NY, 2022-03-13)

#417

I want to keep my health care

Janet Klein (Monroe Twp, 2022-03-13)

#419

I want the healthcare we were promised at retirement. We worked for lower salaries because of the health benefits we were promised.

William Cruciata (NY, 2022-03-13)

#421

The MAP sis inferior to the plan I currently have and was promised for my lifetime.

Louise Davino (Staten Island, 2022-03-13)

#427

I do not want to be put into a Medicare advantage plan. I want to stay with regular Medicare and my insurance

Anne Garcia (Pomona , 2022-03-13)

#433

I worked for the City for 30 years with a doctorate and far below market value pay. In return I was promised good health benefits upon retirement. Please do the right thing.

Evelyn Schechter (Bayside, 2022-03-13)

#435

We worked for lowere wages for years so we would have free Healthcare when we retired.

Susan Silvestro (PALM HARBOR, 2022-03-13)

#436

I’m signing the petition because I do not feel the city should change our Medicare coverage/senior care. We all gave our all thinking we would be taken care of in our golden years, but now that we are on a fixed income with not increase insight the city wants to offer us an inferior Medicare Plan unless we, the retirees, PAY UP! This is so unfair!!!

Rosemary McKnight (Bronx, 2022-03-13)

#440

Mayor Adams was once one of us. Deep in his heart, he knows that the 250K retirees, plus those who will retire in the future, have been royally screwed by NYC. Mayor Adams has the perfect opportunity to right an obvious wrong.

Irving Rosenstein (Great Neck, NzY, 2022-03-13)

#447

The judge made the right decision and you should too Just as you initially said before you were elected, This is a bait and switch idea being pushed on people who were trusting and worked for the city wholeheartedly. Now you do the right thing!

Pauline Grillos (Staten Island, 2022-03-13)

#448

I am a senior citizen with several medical issues. Many doctors in Florida where I live do not accept Medicare Advantage Plans which includes the City’s Plan.

Milton Fischberger (Boca Raton , 2022-03-13)

#449

I was promised health benefits that I have

Anthony Fiumefreddo (Harbeson , 2022-03-13)

#452

I’m signing because this is unfair to NYC retirees, many of whom are elderly and have no idea what is being done to them. Prior authorizations in this plan will cause delays in treatment which can result in death. NYC retirees deserve better.

Toni Monier (Bellerose Manor, 2022-03-13)

#459

I am signing this petition to asks Mayor Adams not to appeal the Court's decision and permit us to have a choice of healthcare plans for ourselves and our love ones.

Thomas Kawas (Cary, NC, 2022-03-13)

#462

The Administrative Code, and BOE regulations are clear, and NYC is attempting to break the Law.

Kevin Sheehy (Mahopac, 2022-03-13)

#463

Do not pull the rug out from under our feet. It will only expose you, Mayor Eric Adams, to further health disparities that do exist between black and brown communities and the disparities of single elderly women of all stripes and colors.

Lori Maslow (Brooklyn , 2022-03-13)

#464

I am completely against the MAPP.

Steven Pacheco (Corona, NY, 2022-03-13)

#466

I am signing because I support the brave people who believe that retirees should continue to receive same insurance they were promised when they were working, in most cases 15+ years

Ellen Maurer (Forest Hills, 2022-03-13)

#469

I really believe the city of NY has thrown its senior citizens under the bus with this new and obvious inferior health care coverage - Medicare Advantage. The city has broken its promise and taking away healthcare when we need it most. Very hurtful, very outrageous!

William Hooker (NY, 2022-03-13)

#470

I am signing because I worked for CUNY for 17 years and DCP for 14.5 years. I was promised health care. My husband sees certain doctors and if we have to change health care, some of his procedures will not be covered. I do not want to have to have most procedures be pre-oked before having them. The city is going back on its promise to its retirees.

Michele Basco (Long Island City, 2022-03-13)

#472

I bribe you should not refute the judges decision on our health care. And not allow for any type of appeal of our health care insurance.

Sheryl Satzman (Boca Raton, Fl. , 2022-03-13)

#475

I am a retired Special Education Teacher. I dedicated my life to the children, our future
Now, in retirement, my future is not as bright because I am not well and need access to my doctors without pre authorizations

David Shapiro (The Villages, 2022-03-13)

#476

I’m signing this because I agree with your initial assessment, Mayor Adams. This is an unfair, back room deal. Please help us to have choices. Thank you,

Annette Bellacosa (New zYork, 2022-03-13)

#479

I am signing because most of my doctors here will not accept MAP. Only only 2 out of 12 will. The maneuver by the city to create that the policy enforcement was declared illegal.. let us keep our insurance so that we have Insurance.

Donna Dowd (Durham, 2022-03-13)

#480

I'm 87 years old and I can't afford to lose my healthcare. I've paid for this all my working life. The current system works for me and I fear losing, or "improving" it.

Morton Newman (Boca Raton, 2022-03-13)

#483

I want to keep my original Medicare plan with my no premium, no copay Medigap plan of GHI Senior Care. This is what I was promised when I retired and how I did my financial planning in order to retire.

PATRICIA PRINCE (Huntersville , 2022-03-13)

#492

I believe NYC has no right to change our medical benefits.

Carol Moorr (Staten Island , New York, 2022-03-13)

#499

I am signing because neither I nor my EARNED medical benefits are “throw away cards” due to the withering mismanagement of the city’s finances under the administration of the former and worst mayor of the City of New York.
PS.- A message to all those sell-outs who thought that retirees were going to be submissive victims to be easily thrown “under the bus” - GUESS AGAIN.

Gerard Longarzo (Yonkers, 2022-03-13)

#501

I’m signing this petition because I want to keep my medical insurance that was promised to us . Mr. Adams side with retirees who worked for the city.

Joseph Coccia (New York, 2022-03-13)

#510

Want to keep GHI SENIOR CARE

Rena Weisberg (New York , 2022-03-13)

#511

The NYC MAP plan is harmful to our well being. Prior authorizations kill people!

Terry Lieber (Valley Stream, 2022-03-13)

#513

I truly would like to maintain my
Original Medicare/Emblem Health GHI senior care. I just turned 65 on February 2022 and was so disappointed the city was changing us to Medicare Advantage. I also believe it is unjust to do this to the elderly; especially those that have no clue this change was being made. Please let us maintain the benefits we have now. Thanks

Patricia Lettiere (Matawan, New Jersey, 2022-03-13)

#516

The City has a legal and moral obligation to preserve the benefits owed to its retirees. The City must honor their commitment(s) to those who nobility served the people of New York. To do otherwise, is an act of betrayal. Mr. Mayor, do the right thing!

Vincent Parolisi (Henderson, NV, 2022-03-13)

#524

Both my PCP and my dermatologist who has treated me for 30 years are not participating in MAPP. Since being Covid 2 years ago, I should not have to worry about my health services when approaching age 75. Mayor Adams, allow us some peace after our long service to the city.

Glory Ann Kerstein (NEW YORK, 2022-03-13)

#525

I’m horrified not just by the cruelty to people like me, but especially to the elderly who don’t even know their healthcare is in danger.

Phyllis Lipman (New York, 2022-03-13)

#526

I signed my medical contract on my retirement knowing that my healthcare would be taken care of for life.

Evelyn Damers (Mineola, 2022-03-13)

#527

They promised and now they are taking everything away, open their eyes to people who served them through the years

Carl Messer (Mount pleasant NC, 2022-03-13)

#530

I’m signing this petition because the City must honor all legally binding contracts and not make changes that effect all retirees .

John Houston (Ormond Beach, 2022-03-13)

#531

This push to place NYC Medicare retirees in a Disadvantage plan automatically (requiring us to OPT OUT was wrong and nefarious from the get-go. Please help us maintain our Traditional Medicare with the GHI SENIOR CARE AS secondary insurance, as is. It has served us well and this is what we were promised.

Engel Karen (Fernandina Beach, Florida, 2022-03-13)

#532

I believe that my current benefits are keeping me healthy, any deviation would jeopardize my health. I paid into these benefits

Amelia Maldonado (Bronx, 2022-03-13)

#533

Don’t want what’s rightfully mine taken away. We shed our blood sweat and tears for this city, we shouldn’t be abandoned by it!

Louis Bartolomeo (Lake Worth , 2022-03-13)

#534

We contributed throughout our working lives, and retired under the promise of having Traditional Medicare health benefits there for us in our retirement. Please do not renegade your promise.

Carmen Quintas (Tappan, 2022-03-13)

#537

I do not want to be forced to change to a more expensive, lower quality health plan!

Julius Wool (NYC, 2022-03-13)

#541

the mayor should direct the city to abandon the NYC Medicare Advantage Plus Plan and allow municipal retirees to keep their Senior Care insurance premium free which is the current insurance retirees have.

Neme Alperstein (Forest Hills, 2022-03-13)

#546

I feel that the proposal to shift to a Medicare Advantage plan will reduce my present health coverage.

Kevin Loughran (Leland, NC, 2022-03-13)

#547

I wish to maintain traditional Medicare that I've had for the past 13 years. It has served me well. Also, these were promises made for my (our) health benefits.

Bernadene Jackson (Bronx, 2022-03-13)

#548

As a retiree on a fixed income I need access to my promised city healthcare-traditional Medicare plus supplemental insurance, promised to me without charge for life.

Steven Nobel (Boynton Beach, FL, 2022-03-13)

#550

Contracts should be honored.

Lena Haber (Bronx, NY, 2022-03-13)

#551

I’m signing because retirees should have a choice of healthcare plans without imposing an additional cost. I am hoping you work with us and and not support to have the judge’s decision appealed. Thanks!

Renee Birns (New York , 2022-03-13)

#554

When I retired from city service, these health care benefits were promised.

Barbara Thompson (New York, 2022-03-13)

#556

I'am signing because I feel that this is not what I was promised .

MICHAEL BIALOWASZ (MEDFORD, 2022-03-13)

#557

I think the city should stand behind the retiree medical coverage we have always received. Also if you want to talk to retirees contact them not negotiate with the MLC which negotiated this plan to get raises for active members not retirees.

James P Walsh (Bradenton, 2022-03-13)

#562

I want to keep the health insurance that was promised to me by NYC upon completion of my 25 years of service.

Thomas Simone (Brooklyn , 2022-03-13)

#570

I believe I have the right to the original retiree health plan I have worked for during my almost 30 years as a proud NYC civil servant with 4 mayoral agencies and am highly concerned about the MAPP. I experienced managed care plans and health insurance needs with my seriously ill mother and then a brother in law who both were told they should go to Medicare to get sufficient health care during their illnesses and not be rejected by services and/or facilities (and it bore out as true). I am concerned that I cannot afford to stay on Medicare for myself and my spouse.

Jeanine Prud’homme (East Elmhurst NY , 2022-03-13)

#571

I lost my husband to line of duty death. I was promised lifetime healthcare. My husband and I both contributed to Medicare our whole working lives and I do not want my healthcare privatized at this point.

Nancy Losinno (Seaford, NY, 2022-03-13)

#572

We need to stop this unfair strategy once and for all.

Martin Snelwar (New York, 2022-03-13)

#573

This is one of the most important issues for me. I need the plan I had. I need to be able to continue the plan I had without the additional payment. At this time of my life, it would be one of the worst things that could happen to me.

Emilie epstein (Jericho, 2022-03-13)

#577

We were promised certain benefits after our retirement. These benefits were an incentive to continue my City employment. My position and responsibilities would have earned me more money in the private sector. The pension and promised health insurance benefits were the reasons I remained a City employee.

Sheila Raskob (NY, 2022-03-13)

#579

I care

Roberta Gonzalez (Brooklyn, 2022-03-13)

#581

I don't want my primary health plan to be run by a for profit insurance company. I prefer to stay in original Medicare for my primary insurance provider. Original Medicare has enabled me to stay healthy and is cost-effective.

shyama orum (New York, 2022-03-13)

#592

We deserve to receive what we have been promised all these years. We are seniors who worked with limited financial compensation for the jobs we did. A decent retirement is our right!

Marsha Lipsitz (New York, 2022-03-13)

#596

If I wanted a Medicare Advantage Plan when I turned 65 I would have chosen one. paying for a Medigap plan is a financial burden

Arlene Hasbrouck (Boynton Beach, 2022-03-13)

#597

I am signing because I feel the city is breaking it's contract. The city was built by the former and current employees. We earned less than we should have for the promise of a pension and great medical benefits in our golden years. I feel that it is imperative that the city upholds its end of the bargain.

Lisa Anderson (Staten Island, 2022-03-13)

#598

The City has pulled a Bait and Switch against its Union retirees…..promising one thing to us when we were young and just beginning and now when we are retired and most vulnerable they are attempting to make money on the backs of the oldest and most vulnerable retirees. I am furious.

June Schneid (Boynton Beach, 2022-03-13)

#600

Evrything stated is true.
