This is bad for the quality of life in our neighborhood

Marie Watson (Ponte Vedra Beach, 2022-04-09)

I will be directly impacted by the lights. I don’t like the county going behind our backs on such critical issues. Do better!

Peter Murphy (Ponte Vedra Beach, 2022-04-09)

This is in my backyard and while I support youth sports during the day, I’d like to preserve my evenings for quiet family time.
When ball games are taking place, my back yard and lanai gets very noisy. The fields are very close to the homes.
Additionally, our stag gazing will be squashed with all the ambient light.
As a Real Estate Professional, it will be detrimental to our real estate values. Nobody wants to buy a house with that in the back yard!

Please don't put lights in Cornerstone Park

More traffic on A1A at night is dangerous - bad for community.

Suzanne Marcy (Ponte Vedra Beach, 2022-04-09)

Our homes are extremely close to the park and lights in the night time will be very disruptive to our lifestyle, disturbing our peace with the additional crowd noise! This is very important to us and we will continue to fight against these lights!

Money could be better spent elsewhere.

I live in Seaside and do not want these lights sticking up into the sky.

Cynthia Hiltz (Ponte Vedra Beach, 2022-04-12)

I am a home owner on Crosscove circle and back up tor the ball fields. Adding lights to the field will increase the evening noise level in our backyard to an unacceptable level. This will also adversely effect my property values.

James Hawkes (Ponte Vedra Beach, 2022-04-12)

I live in the Seaside community and enjoy seeing the night sky. We also enjoy sitting outside at night and listening to the sounds of nature. There is enough noise from the park already.

Susan Choate (Ponte Vedra Beach, 2022-04-13)

#35

We enjoy setting outside at night relaxing . Bright lights and noise would end that. I suspect that it will impact the interior of our homes as well . Will blackout curtains, shutters and soothing sound devices also become our norm?

Johnnie Douglas Choate (Ponte Vedra Beach, 2022-04-18)

My residence backs up to the ball field. I already face a slew of items tossed at my house. Noise can be an issue and also the loss of property value should I be forced to vacate.

Brett Holland (Ponte Vedra, 2022-04-23)

#54

I am signing this because I live in Seaside and own a house here. Do not want the noise and property values to go down.

Rose Herczeg (Ponte Vedra , 2022-04-23)

The county should not go back on their promise in 2008 stating they would not put lights in the park

Linda DeCoste (Ponte Vedra Beach , 2022-04-23)

I am signing as a homeowner in Seaside who does not want lights installed at Cornerstone Park. I want the original commitment made by St. John’s County upheld; no lights installed at the park.

Nikki Lee (Ponte Vedra Beach, 2022-04-25)

#62

I live in the area and use the park

William Davidson (Ponte Vedra Beach, 2022-04-25)

As a family in Seaside, we do not want the additional lighting. If St. John’s County agreed to have no lighting that needs to be honored.

Ellen Morfit (Ponte Vedra Beach, 2022-04-25)

I live in The Plantation, and the lights will have a negative affect on quality of life and will negatively affect my property value.

No lights! Love the serene community.

Johanna Rahal (Ponte Vedra Beach, 2022-04-25)

It’s not about Sports. It’s about the neighborhoods first and foremost!

James Wright (Ponte Vedra, 2022-04-25)

I’m signing because I do not want the lights to be installed in corner stone park. I live directly behind the park and the lights together with the noise will directly impact my home and my lifestyle. We did not purchase this home to have lights blasting through our backyard and windows late into the evening. It is a direct disturbance of all of the homes near the park and should not be allowed.

Jennifer Freidenstein (Ponte Vedra Beach, 2022-04-26)

Lights at Cornerstone will affect the property value and quality of life of the nearby communities.

Kathie Seabrook (Ponte Vedra Beach, 2022-04-26)

I live in The Plantation. I do not want lights and the resulting noise at night right near my house!

Gary Genest (Ponte Vedra Beach, 2022-04-26)

Night games at Cornerstone park = the opposite of peace and quiet.
Existing street lights provide more than enough unnatural light.

Allen Sahs (Ponte Vedra, 2022-04-26)

#92

It is too invasive for the neighbors.

Stacy Shepherd (Ponte Vedra Beach, FL, 2022-04-26)

I don’t believe there should be lights at cornerstone park

I have serious concerns about light and noise pollution that will definitively occur to the surrounding neighborhoods if the addition of lights passes. There is already significant sound amplification from the fields and if lights are added this May make the situation untenable. Even if time limits are put on the lights it is likely that games will go into extra innings or over time and may continue well past this. Additionally there are already loud speakers with music playing and announcers blaring regularly during normal games. I can’t imagine this continuing later into the night. Currently fields with lighting such as Davis Park are not located within residential areas with housing surrounding them. There is a reason for this and it should not be allowed in Ponte Vedra Beach. There are currently plans to expand existing playing fields which are not in residential areas within the Nocatee area including Davis Park. We need to allow these plans to come to fruition without imposing upon existing homeowners around Cornerstone park and overcrowding an already heavily trafficked area.

James Freidenstein (Ponte Vedra Beach, 2022-04-26)

We do not need the extra light pollution at night or the additional expense

Eugene Dolan (Ponte Vedra, 2022-04-26)

#102

Totally uncalled for and a nuisance to those who will be impacted.

Leo Fanning (Ponte Vedra, 2022-04-27)

#103

I do not believe lighted ball fields should be adjacent to residential neighborhoods.

Pete Maselli (Ponte Vedra Beach, 2022-04-27)

#105

This proposal is not in the best interests of impacted home owners.

Eileen Fanning (Ponte Vedra, 2022-04-27)

This field is at the beach and light pollution would negatively impact the area

Samantha Mcdaniel (Ponte Vedra, 2022-04-28)

#108

the lights will have a negative impact on the quality of life. No more light pollution!

Mary Bartlett (Ponte Vedra, 2022-04-28)

I live in Seaside and day time is enough time for kids to play.

Melissa Hartman (Ponte vedra beach, 2022-04-28)

#115

The quality of life for the homeowners that are directly affected by these lights will significantly decrease. The real estate value of those homes will be affected, as well.

Andrea Rappa (Ponte Vedra Beach, 2022-05-05)

#116

I'm signing because the County promised no lights on these fields since 2008. These fields and the lights are too close to residential developments and there are other County parks which are not.

Michael Slattery (Ponte Vedra Beach, 2022-05-06)

The need for evening activities can be achieved by those wanting it to drive to Davis Park.
The price should not be paid by those who don't participate .
It does there is already an agreeable solution .
Thank you

As a Seaside resident I object to the unnecessary light pollution the Cornerstone Park will produce. Day games only please.

Dave deNagy (Ponte Vedra Beach, 2022-08-10)

Our home backs up to the park. We are extremely upset about this decision.

Kristyn Short (Ponte Vedra Beach, 2022-08-14)

nearby homeowner too much noise

judy Trimble (pontevedra, 2022-08-28)

#132

There are other fields and the intent was never for there to be lights at Cornerstone.

Jeannine Smith (Ponte Vedra Beach, 2022-09-19)

#133

I feel the lights will endanger the environment especially the wildlife. Half the time, cornerstone is not used on weekends. When built, it was promised that NO lights would be installed. The traffic is already bad in our area. It is not fair to the homeowners that adjacent the park both for their personal and financial wellbeing.

Susan Hedberg (Ponte Vedra Beach, 2022-09-20)

#135

I care about the affected communities and the safety of the wildlife.

Mary Alexander (Ponte Vedra Beach, 2022-09-20)

#139

I oppose the intrusion the bright 70' lights on our neighborhood and potential for impact on property values of Seaside Homes.

We don't wNt those bright lights glaringintobour back yard.
