Pharmacy plays a very important role in improving public health by providing and ensuring availability of medicines at all times. Pharmacists ensure that medication and all medical supplies are issued to the right people, at rightful and appropriate quantities. Without pharmacists , recovery , healing and well maintenance of good health is impossible. Pharmacists play a very important role and it hurts me deeply to see them being overlooked and not being appreciated. The department of Health needs more pharmacists

There is inadequate pharmacists in the healthcare system, especially the public sector. Pharmacist play a pivotal rural in patient care and pharmaceutical custody, yet a huge number of pharmacists are unemployed. Create a employment opportunities for Pharmacists.

I am a pharmacist without a job who has been searching and finds no posts available in the KwaZulu Natal Department of health. Also a tax paying citizen and professional who believes the department is not using the appropriate recruitment process for pharmacist posts in the province.

I support everything stated in the petition. As a community service pharmacist, I am also extremely worried about what will happen to me next year about getting a permanent post since I am not even a bursary holder.

The government has made pharmacy a jobless profession, they have increased graduate intake without improving jobs and many are now unemployed. Please limit the amount of students and also stop corporates from owning pharmacies ans non pharmacists so that we as pharmacists can take out profession back !!!

I believe that the public sector is not fair when it comes to giving posts for pharmacists, it does issue posts for other health care professionals but not pharmacists which is not fair. Can you please be fair and also give us (pharmacists) posts.

I am signing because I do not see saturation of DOH with pharmacists and yet our fellow colleagues remain unemployed at home with degrees. For the Health Sector to run efficiently, please consider funding vacant posts.

I am a pharmacist watching what the South African government is doing to the pharmacy profession is both frustrating and disappointing!
As mentioned above, pharmacists also vote and hence we deserve to enjoy the benefits of the so called democracy! What is happening is unjust!

I qualified as a pharmacist in 2019 and not once was I called for an interview in the public sector. Iv applied over and over again, it seems they don’t even receive my cv (which always has everything that’s required). At times I even hand deliver it just to make sure it arrived, but still nothing. Of late, the posts that have been advertised are for “African males” as if African females don’t need jobs also.

I am a pharmacist i have felt so much frustration with the government post i have attended most interviews for hospital posts but i have been very disappointed on the decisions through an unfair exclusion. I have a primary health care experience and i am currently unemployed , i am not a bursary holder nor i have been employed as a COVID assistant. I am excluded due to those three factors and i feel like no matter how hard i try to comply with application requirements , i pass all my written assesments and my interviews are smooth. I am always excluded it’s fustrating
