I oppose the location of the panels. Locate them in an area that has little other use. They are way too close to the future extent of the city and is in the middle of current farmlands. They would prevent the growth of the city and ruin the environment of the current farmland.

The people of Mercer County should not be under the thumb of a corporation. Our county needs the jobs, not solar. This is an economically depressed area. Solar panels won't help that. If this ends up passing, it will be just another example of our local leaders succumbing to the wants of a corporation (Dollar General for example). Our kids and our city deserve better.

I do not wish the use of prime real estate within our county to be subsidized for solar power generation. I believe it is a corporate responsibility to offset the carbon footprint through self-management and methods installed on property owned by the corporations. Leasing solar credits through the destruction of land for food supply or land that could be developed for job creation is irresponsible.

The benefits of a solar farm are null. Nothing short of a dystopian eyesore that will produce zero jobs and is an unreliable source of energy. This garbage serves little to no use, other than to destroy the surrounding landscape. I say hell no!
