Support for Army veteran James Jooyandeh who was denied a lung transplant by the VA due to being "unvaccinated"

Issue: Army veteran, James Jooyandeh, was denied a life-saving lung transplant by Dr. Samir Sultan and chief of surgical services, Dr. James Maloney. Sultan called James's unwillingness to getting the shot "an absolute contraindication to lung transplantation at 'our' center." Moreover, these doctors will not even provide a referal to Vanderbilt University Hospital in Tennessee.

Action items:

1. Demand that the VA provide the life-saving transplant to Mr. Jooyandeh regardless of his vaccine status. This is in keeping with their hypoctratic oath (do no harm).

2. Demand a thorough, science-based explanation how a patient needs a vaccine for a temporary pandemic in order to get life-saving treatment at their center.

3. Demand the removal of these doctors from conducting any services at any VA center.

This is unacceptabled and will not be tolerated by us Veterans who have served honorably.
