Break monopoly of Private Schools

.

Private schools like Beasonhouse School System now force parents to buy complete book sets from their designated book stores. However, no price regulation and control exists for sale of these books.

On average, a set of books and copies for a single student costs around Rs 13000/- and we are talking about primary and middle school children here.

There is no authority to monitor, control and regulate prices. And with only schools' own choice of dealers, no competition exists to keep pieces undse control.

We request Education Minister and Prime Minister to look in the matter and formulate a policy to stop this robbery in the name of education.
