Cinemas: The new outlets for local musicians.

There are now fewer and fewer outlets for original music in Ireland. This depressing trend has too many causes to mention. But let's not focus on the negatives, let's look for non intrusive ways to get unsigned original music into the ears of the people they need most to support them: their own community. If we can get the two main cinema companies to agree to play music from local bands and artist before the adverts in cinemas, I think it could be a means for people to hear the local talent they might never otherwise be exposed to. Plus it would be a saving for them as no royalties would need to be paid. The music they usually play is quite obscure anyway, so it may as well be obscure, local, and free. This petition is to see who among you would prefer to hear the music of the community instead of the generic stuff they usually play, presumably at a cost to them. Thanks for your time!
