Help Gomeroi People stop Coal Seam Gas and Mining

The Pilliga Forest is an important place for Gomeroi People, for our ancient water, sites, land and animals. We cannot be silent. We must defend our country. Santos are seeking approval to mine Coal Seam Gas - this will see 850 coal seam gas wells over 1000ha of the Pilliga Forest for at least 20 years.

The Independent Planning Commission (IPC) will hold public hearings from Monday 20-24th July (and accept written submissions until 31st July) to determine if the project goes ahead or not.

Approval will place the Pilliga Forest at risk.

For the protection of our water

For the protection of our sacred places, plants and animals

In recognition of our ancestors and future generations

We the undersigned Gomeroi people, will not accept the destruction and further alienation of our country and water by Coal Seam Gas. Santos must pack up and leave Gomeroi land.
