New Nature Play area for Parmelia Park

We are South Fremantle locals, and like many in the area, our goal is to get a newly built nature play area at Parmelia park (Chester Street and Parmelia Rd) in South Fremantle. This park has a large open area which we suggest remain untouched for those wanting to play football or for those with dogs. Apart from the small standard playground nestled on the top right hand side near Chester Street, the park is considerably bare.

We ask that you consider our proposal and help us to fast track the development of a nature play area, proposing for it to be located in the section between the monkey bars and solo swing set adjacent to Parmelia Rd.

This project was initiated due to frustration to both us and the wider community at the lack of effective quality nature play areas in the South Fremantle area. As a community member I have taken action to research , consult and engage with the people in the area, all of whom have suggested an upgrade to the play area to include a Nature play section at Parmelia Park as this would be extremely beneficial to children and families in our community.

I have now set up a petition asking for peoples' thoughts and support.

Our vision is for a nature playground for life. A playground where regardless of your age or ability there will always be something fun to do, create, climb or play on. Lets play together on this project and make it happen.

We, the undersigned, call on the Fremantle City Council to support and approve the proposed plan to build an all-ages and all-abilities nature play area at Parmelia Park in South Fremantle.
