Impact for travel purposes

Michelle Mayer (Bourget, 2022-03-31)

#12

Too long of a detour

Pierre Croteau (Bourget , 2022-03-31)

#13

The full closure of this bridge will cause the biggest detour considering they just closed the dixon factory bridge last summer.

Samantha Valkenborg (Lemieux, 2022-03-31)

#15

J’utilise souvent de chemin là. Au moins une fois semaine

Line Pilon (Rockland, 2022-03-31)

#17

The bridge closure would affect many residents in my area, including myself, who use this bridge regularly. A full closure of the bridge would result in residents having to go in the complete opposite direction to "detour" this bridge since the next closest bridge crossing on Dixion Factory Road was recently permanently closed. This bridge would also affect our business and the customers who travel from the Bourget area to our shop.

Vanessa Valkenborg (Lemieux, 2022-03-31)

#24

I am signing this petition because my family uses this bridge on a almost daily basis to shop locally for groceries as well as for visiting family and friends. Gas is already expensive and if you close this bridge to due repairs we are forced to do a incredible large detour which will cost us more money for gas, more time for travel and put more wear and tear on our vehicle for nothing. You fixed Boundary Rd. Bridge by closing one side and I have seen many other bridges repaired by closing one side at a time and reducing traffic going over the bridge. Please consider the undue hardship you would be putting on the community that uses this bridge daily.

Ashley Phillips (Bourget, 2022-03-31)

#25

I live in Ettyville, by closing this bridge, we have no way to get to Casselman for daily activities, work, groceries etc.

Amanda Larivee (Bourget, 2022-03-31)

#26

I pass by there everyday

Therese Latreille (Curran, 2022-03-31)

#27

I travel by this road often

Guylaine Lemay (Bourget, 2022-03-31)

#29

#31

I’m signing because the closure of this road will greatly impact all movement for us.

Nicolas Saumure (St-Pascal-Baylon, 2022-03-31)

#34

I travel Hammond to Cornwall on a regular basis. The closure will increase travel time and add stress on additional gas cost.

Lucille Radley (Hammond , 2022-03-31)

#37

Lise Latour (Casselman , 2022-03-31)

#39

It must be left operable

Donna Reeve (Casselman, 2022-03-31)

#43

I’m signing because I have to drive to Casselman twice a day to bring my kids to school and back. It would be a pain to have to detour for 6 months!!!

Josée Langlais (County Road 19, 2022-03-31)

#44

I work in Casselman. Take this route everyday to and from work.

Julie Wolfe (Hammond, 2022-03-31)

#45

I am a resident of Bourget and this directly affects my access to Casselman, Cornwall and other municipalities in the area.

Lucie Stewart (Bourget, 2022-03-31)

#46

This is a major artery of the areas commute and this will cause major issues

Maxime Wathier (Casselman, 2022-03-31)

#47

I live in Bourget and it seriously impacts my access to the Cornwall hospital

Brian Stewart (Bourget, 2022-03-31)

#48

I’m signing this because this will greatly impact my daily route to drive my two girls to school. I use that bridge twice a day to drive me children to and from school in Wendover. Alternate routes would increase my commute and cause a change in our already hectic routine.

Jennifer Cormack (Casselman , 2022-03-31)

#52

Melina Surprenant (Casselman, 2022-03-31)

#55

Ridiculous. Way to major of a route to completely shut down. Do one lane at a time.

Dave Starr (Bourget, 2022-03-31)

#57

This ain't right for local businesses! One lane has to stay required!!!

Mario Bourgeois (Casselman, 2022-03-31)

#61

I live 1km from bridge and use it everyday to go to Bourget

Daniel Brisson (Casselman, 2022-03-31)

#65

This is a major issue if closed completely! The decision makers surely do not live in this area if that's the way they think it should be.

We cross this bridge daily for work and for personal reasons. Given the price of gas, the extensive detour is not reasonable!

What about the Dixon Factory bridge? Will that also remain permanently closed?

I expect council to re-evaluate and realize this decision makes no sense for the local community.

Joanne Potvin

Joanne Potvin (Casselman (Lemieux), 2022-03-31)

#66

I travel this road every othe week to bring my daughter from Clarence to Casselman for school. It’s going to va a long detour through the forest for many.

Denis Sabourin (Clarence Creek , 2022-03-31)

#68

Je prends souvent cette route. Le détour ne serait vraiment pas raisonnable!

Sylvie Brisson (Casselman, 2022-03-31)

#70

This is a main artery to get to our neighbouring towns this will affect a decrease in sales with our local industries...1 lane shut down would be acceptable but closing completely would bring up alot of issues with the city

Natalie Belisle (Bourget, 2022-03-31)

#74

I use this bridge to go to Casselman every week.

Mariette Dicaire (Hammond, 2022-03-31)

#76

I travel that bridge twice a day from april to nov. The detour would be increased alot of travelling time.

Julie Potvin (Fournier , 2022-03-31)

#78

Sonia Prudhomme (Wendover, 2022-03-31)

#79

We take the bridge MINIMUM 4x/day for work, school, errands, friends/family, emergencies and daycare. We are right across the bridge on route 100… How will this impact our quiet road? Will the other end of our street be maintained now? How come there’s no sign up already to let us know about this ? Thanks to the MISA farm, which is amazing by the way, for starting this petition!

Marie-France Lalande (Casselman, 2022-03-31)

#87

No reasonable detour to get to Bourget, Rockland, etc...

Jeanne Leroux (Casselman, 2022-03-31)

#89

Isabelle Boucher (Bourget, 2022-03-31)

#92

I am signing in support of local small businesses and residents who rely on the bridge for deliveries, getting to work, etc. Complete closure would require a notable detour, this resulting in significant financial impact considering the ridiculously high cost of gas.

Chantal Savard (Casselman, 2022-03-31)

#103

I'm signing because as owners (myself and my husband Michel Aumont) of the Camping Paradis Bourget in Bourget, Ontario, this will greatly affect our business as well as other businesses in the region. A lot of our customers come from Montréal, Québec, Cornwall, etc. and take that bridge to come to the campsite.

Line Caron (Bourget, 2022-03-31)

#109

Need it for work.

Eric Girard (Casselman, 2022-03-31)

#110

This makes no sense

Kerri-vaughan Lynch (Ottawa, 2022-03-31)

#115

Suzanne Charette (Casselman, 2022-03-31)

#117

We need this accès way to long to go though the other route our kids on the bus are already on for a long time

Sophianne Theriault (Curran /pendleton, 2022-03-31)

#120

I’m signing because I have farm land located across the bridge- the detour by tractor and hauling grain home in the fall would be near impossible

Anna Van criekingen (Casselman, 2022-03-31)

#121

This is going affect so many people. Please reconsider and leave a lane open for people who use that bridge every day to get too and from work.

Tracey Robillard (Bourget, 2022-03-31)

#126

Isabelle Boulerice (Limoges, 2022-03-31)

#128

I have used this bridge for years everyday from Rockland to Casselman and Cornwall. It is ridiculous to close this bridge anymore than a weekend.

Véronique Jérôme (Rockland, 2022-03-31)

#132

Yannick Taillon (Bourget, 2022-03-31)

#140

I live nearby and my husband uses this bridge to go to work and home each day.

Cyndi Morin (Bourget , 2022-03-31)

#142

One lane closure should be enough. We need to encourage our local companies in these crucial times. I take that route to buy some local foods and to travel. Thank you.

Melissa Laplante (Casselman, 2022-03-31)

#144

I use the bridge often and the clients of my business from cassleman need to use the bridge to access my business.

Carly Forward (Curran, 2022-04-01)

#147

I take that bridge to see my grand kid and daughters boyrget and Pendleton

Jacqueline Theriault (Crysler, 2022-04-01)

#151

This affects me

David Morneau (Pendleton , 2022-04-01)

#152

Community access is very important not only finance.

Krystina Suski (Casselman, 2022-04-01)

#156

Yanik Quesnel (Casselman , 2022-04-01)

#157

It will affect my business

Luc Cheff (Bourget, 2022-04-01)

#158

I commute to Cornwall daily from St. Pascal which is a one hour drive. With detours, more fuel, more costs out of my pocket plus more time away from my family (I navigated the detour last summer due to bridge closure on the same county road, but the detours involved with this bridge closure will have a larger impact on all above).

Monique Moore (Saint-pascal-baylon, 2022-04-01)

#167

Small busniess should be aloud to operate. This berry farm is very important to our region and should not have to suffer because of poor decision making from politicians.

Jonathan Tolsma (Ottawa, 2022-04-01)

#168

I’m signing because that bridge is part of my daily commute to work from Pendleton. Closing this bridge completely will greatly impact my morning commute to work by having to take a time consuming detour.

Michael Adam (Curran, 2022-04-01)

#169

We need this access for our business and personal too!

Sylvie St-Pierre (Bourget , 2022-04-01)

#170

If is necessary to keep one lane open because of the amount of traffic that cross this bridge. It is a high traffic bridge allowing people to access the north south portion of the Nation River. More than County Road 9. It is a primary road and if closed would increase travel time for a large number of people

Faye Bradley (Casselman, 2022-04-01)

#172

I’m signing because I use the bridge a few times a week and cannot afford to take the extra time to go another route. This impacts too many people seriously.

Tara Young (Casselman , 2022-04-01)

#177

I am signing because we as a family use this route frequently to visit our son, and his family. We also use it to go shopping in Rockland, etc.

Nathalie Gervais (Casselman , 2022-04-01)

#180

I live off 2min from there not even and if it’s fully closed this would honestly be such trouble as I need to pickup a coworker for work every single day in casselman and it’s it’s closed this means I need to pass threw Limoges to get him back to Ottawa if u can understand gas is not given at this prices yet and if it fully closed many around might also get affected by it

Zachary Côté (Casselman, 2022-04-01)

#183

The complete closure would lengthen my driving time to work by 1 hour. This is totally unacceptable with other existing options, like a manual stop light for example

Tina hopson (Casselman, 2022-04-01)

#184

Im running my compagnie's trucks by that bridge 2,3 times a day. It means a big change in our schedule and also in expenses. As much as that bridge stresses me each time we cross it, as much I hope tou could leave one lane opened

Mario Lamoureux (St -albert, 2022-04-01)

#186

It's insanity to want to close this bridge completely. We pay enough taxes. Keep one lane open.

Celine Perreault (Casselman , 2022-04-01)

#188

I use this bridge to get to work 5 days a week

Melanie Prevost (Clarence creek, 2022-04-01)

#191

I regularly use that road for my farm and business and shutting it down completely will have a huge impact

Pilon Jocelyn (Clarence Creek , 2022-04-01)

#194

I'm signing because this will cause a major detour on commutes

Madeleine Powell (Rockland, 2022-04-01)

#196

There is no other way to get over the Nation River between St Isidore and Limoges, making an extensive detour for an enormous number of vehicles. Keeping one lane open would alleviate this problem, thereby reducing pollution and GH gases as well as time and money wasted.

Jill Davies (Curran , 2022-04-01)

#198

My families lives in Casselman and I do my groceries there too, so I travel there quite often
