VOCS class of 2020 deserves a graduation!

This Pandemic has been so hard on me as I'm sure it has you. As seniors, I think this hits us harder than a lot of people. Covid-19 has stolen so many moments that we will never get back. We had our last day at high school without even knowing it. We deserve a proper goodbye! 

This virus is scary, no one is denying that but, we shouldn't just cancel things. We need to keep looking for the light at the end of the tunnel not just shut down. The fact that Vista Oaks wants to just cancel the class of 2020 graduation was so discouraging. We have worked hard for 13 years looking forward to that moment. Graduation is a once in a lifetime milestone you can never make up. 

There is absolutely no reason to cancel instead of postponing to a later date. Every other school is doing this there is no reason for us to miss out. We are being released in the first week of May. Of course, this could be pushed back farther but we could postpone again. I see no reason to plan for June or July. If need be August. We didn't get a proper finish. We deserve a proper goodbye. 

We need to fight against this unfair decision. This is our graduation. We deserve a voice. So please, help me fight. Sign this petition to get our graduation postponed not canceled.
