Wives using Domestic Violence Act as a tool to extort husband

Folks,

Kindly sign this petition if you are a victim of this Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act 2005, and being extorted by so called aggreived wife.

The system is built in such a way that Husbands are always wrong and they are criminals and have no say either in the court halls or outside.

I would request/plead here, the system to be gender neutral, word husband should be replaced by spouse, party commiting mistake should be penalised as per law and no mercy should be shown to them. If a wife commits crime then they should not be let go with just a slap on their wrist, they should also be convicted with impirsonment and fine the way that husbands are convicted and fined which is a rare event to be seen, hence wives file cases indeterminately, without fear of conviction as they know that they can easily get away even with false cases.

Husbands are forced to pay maintenance even if they have no means to support themselves. I really wonder is there is any fairness to this. Husbands undergo legal torture both from and within the system, by loosing their family, children, job, respect, dignity etc by running from pillar to post day in and day out, yet husbands are forced to pay hefty maintenance based on their previous earnings without even verifying his current earning capacity. Husbands are forced to beg, borrow and steal by passing indeterminate maintenance which ultimately direct men to loose fatih in the institution of marriage and ultimately create chaos in the near future.

Wives and their family are using this ACT as a tool to equal their scores, to extract money from Husband and their Mother & Father In Laws hard earned money, dragging husband's family to streets, ruining reputation of the family which is in turn not helping the institution of marriage they are actually breaking the institution of marriage and family.

The contempt action by the wives are either waived or not taken into consideration. However if the small mistake is done by the husband side then it is seen through magnifying glass and they are being convicted seriously.

I would ike to raise an important question here, is it only the duty of the husband to maintain children and wife financially?

Is it not the duty of wife to maintain husband and children if she is employed and earning and husband being unemployed?

Husband financial capacity goes to a tailspin and yet forced to pay hefty maintenance (Both interim and final).

When we are living in the era of equality of genders, an unemployed husband should not be forced to pay maintenance, if the wive is talented, educated and employed. An unemployed husband should not be treated other way when compared to an umemployed wife.

With this I am requesting equality for men and stop men being abused and harrassed by one sided ACT which came into force in the year 2005.
